ABC is the latest network to reveal when fans can expect their favorite series to return to the air following the end of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
The schedule has plenty of big surprises, including 9-1-1 landing on a new night after moving to the Alphabet network from Fox.
9-1-1 Season 7 has scored the Thursday lead-off spot, where it will lead into Grey's Anatomy Season 20.
Previous 8 p.m. occupant, Station 19 is airing out of Grey's Anatomy in the 10 p.m. slot.
That's very late for the spinoff, but we'll reserve judgment on that until we lay eyes on the numbers.
Moving 9-1-1 away from Mondays is a choice because the show has continuously delivered strong ratings throughout its run.
There's also the chance many viewers will be confused by the move and won't follow it to ABC, so there are many variables here.

ABC today unveiled premiere dates for its mideason lineup, which features the return of the network’s scripted series post-strike. The announcement includes a slew of scheduling changes.
They are led by The Good Doctor‘s move from its longtime Monday 10 Pm slot to Tuesdays 10 Pm. The popular medical drama had been ABC’s Monday 10 Pm anchor since its launch. The rationale for the relocation is that another drama vs. unscripted lead-in tends to provide better retention for a drama series.
That is not a hard and fast rule. NBC has regularly used The Voice as a launch pad for new drama series, most recently The Irrational and Found, which both have delivered respectable numbers this fall behind the singing competition on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
For the past six seasons, The Good Doctor also has done well following a tentpole ABC reality series on Mondays, Dancing With the Stars or The Bachelor.

ABC has set return dates for its scripted series, joining CBS in laying out a post-strikes lineup that will see the likes of Abbott Elementary, Grey’s Anatomy and new addition 911 join the schedule in early 2024.
The broadcast network will also have a handful of unscripted staples — American Idol, The Bachelor and Judge Steve Harvey — and a 20/20-branded true-crime series from ABC News to round out its midseason slate.
Production on a host of scripted series is ramping back up in the coming weeks, following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike on Nov. 9 (members of the actors union are currently voting on ratification of the deal). Writers rooms reopened in late September after the Writers Guild of America agreed on a new contract from studios and streamers, ending its strike.
