An ode to friendship, set in the blue collar district of West Berlin, called Wedding, in the summer of 1989 before the Berlin wall broke down. Three former high school friends, all grown up in Wedding, have not seen each other for a decade or longer and meet in their old teenage hide-out, an old storage depot close to the East Berlin Wall. Susanne, sales person and mother wanting to escape her abusive husband, Markus, policeman and soon to be wed and Sulawski, warehouse employee on the run from the bailiff, spend one day and one night together and the next morning might or might not bring salvation. Markus shots and kills a man, Susanne loves her son and stays with her husband despire him being very jealous. Sulawski, called Sulle, tries to get his confiscated Opel Ascona car back and does not know what to do with his life. Laconic, funny, tense, honest and hopeful.
