Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have stepped in the shoes of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit for the recreated version of their superhit song Tamma Tamma Loge from their 1989 movie Thanedaar for their upcoming movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The two even took dancing lessons from the dancing queen Madhuri Dixit for the song. Apparently, Saroj Khan, who has originally choreographed the Tamma Tamma song, is unhappy with Varun and Alia for ignoring her for the reprise version of the song. "Maybe, they think that Masterji has become old and Madhuri Dixit hasn't. That's why they have called her," Saroj Khan told a leading daily when asked if the makers should have called her for guiding them for the reprise version. While Varun and Alia have done justice to the energetic song, Saroj Khan said, "Varun is a good dancer and I know he will be able to do it well,...

Tamil remakes are hot favourites this season and joining the bandwagon is producer T P Aggarwal with a law abiding film which is the remake of the Tamil hit Saamy. The South Indian remake Saamy was under the process of a title change. The movie starring Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj has been directed by K S Ravikumar. On confirming the news with producer Mr. Tp Aggarwal, he said, "There was a tentative a change in the film's title which was earlier going to run under the same name Saamy but it was later changed to Thanedaar Returns. Having said that, the idea of having the same name as the Tamil flick and later Thanedaar Returns were in conflict with Sanjay's interest. We did not want to mislead our audiences by giving them an impression of a sequel. So he sat down with me and the other members...

Our leading men's leading ladies are becoming progressively misleading. Sanjay Dutt who turned 53 this month would be romancing the 24-year old Prachi Desai in his new cop film Thanedaar Returns. And to ensure that the age difference doesn't jar, the script is being modified to justify the gap of 29 years between the hero and heroine. The last time there was such a yawning gap between the lead pair was when Anil Kapoor played Kareena Kapoor's husband in Bewafaa. And there the age gap was justified by the fact that Kareena was Anil's second wife in the film. But here with no plausible justification for the age difference except for the fact that Prachi was the only viable choice with dates; the makers of the film have decided to rewrite the original script to explain the age difference. Says a source close to the project, "In the original Tamil film Saamy,...

Thanedaar Returns is Sanjay Dutt's third cop role in a year. After Ram Gopal Varma's Department and the forthcoming Zilla Ghaziabad, Dutt will again be shown as a cop.
But producer Aggarwal is unperturbed, "If you've seen the original film Saamy (2003 Tamil film directed by Hari starring Vikram and Trisha) you'd know this is a cop film unlike any other."
However, Vinod Bachchan the producer of Zilla Ghaziabad doesn't think so. In a panic mode on hearing about yet another cop film, Bachchan apparently got in touch with Sanjay Dutt requesting that his film be completed at the earliest.
Says a source close to Bachchan, "Dutt has finally agreed to give Bachchan the dates required to complete Zilla Ghaziabad. However, the extra action scenes that Dutt wanted to shoot to give the film an extra punch have been scrapped. Dutt has no time to shoot the extra action...

Madhuri Dixit: fabulous actress, amazing dancer and that smile that lights up the screen and the world. She creates magic on screen. To celebrate her birthday and to celebrate the Dancing queen coming back to Bollywood we polled some of our writers to find out what was their favorite Madhuri Moment on screen. Many could not think of just one and had, had, had to write about more than one, even up to six yes six! Sit back, relax and enjoy some of our favorite Madhuri scenes and of course dances!
Charla
Aur Paas…(Dil Toh Pagal Hai, 1997)
My favorite scene involves Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit and is from the movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai. According to me, this is one of the most romantic scenes ever (and what else to expect from a Yash Chopra movie), but with a playful touch and that combo makes the scene so interesting to watch.

After months of speculation on who would star opposite Sanjay Dutt in Satte Pe Satta remake, the official announcement has now been made and it's none other than Madhuri Dixit who has bagged the coveted role. While Sanjay Dutt will reprise the role played by Big B in the original cult classic, Madhuri will be seen in the character played by Hema Malini in the original. It may be recalled that Madhuri and Sanjay have been part of several hit films in the past such as Saajan, Khalnayak and Thanedaar. It will no doubt be interesting to see this jodi re-create magic once again on the silver screen. Satte Pe Satta remake is being directed by Soham Shah and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. in association with Sanjay Dutt Productions.
