Actress Susanne Severeid was the first American ever cast in this show. She played a co-starring role and appeared in 52 episodes as Yolanda van Lier, a blonde Joan Collins - Dynasty (1981)-type bitch.
Guusje Nederhorst, even though showing a great amount of respect for the cast and crew, expressed her discontent in playing her character, feeling that Roos was too timid and cute, rather than wild and controversial. Therefore, she secretly accepted an offer to pose for a lingerie commercial, which in turn lead to a big fight with the producers. Nevertheless, Nederhorst played the role for nine years, and when asked why she did not leave the soap earlier, she responded that she loved working with her colleagues.
