An ongoing theme until the end of the movie was Leroy Green's inability to beat Sho'Nuff until the climax of the movie. Leroy repeatedly has his head dunked in a tub of water by his arch-nemesis, causing him to have flashbacks of his martial arts master, and his love interest cryptically telling Leroy that he's actually a martial arts master, giving him the self-confidence to defeat Sho'Nuff. In the ending sequence of the game, Rex is unable to kill Sloan due to his programming.
