Ever since they returned to the road in February 2023 following a six-year hiatus, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have largely stuck to a rigid setlist that tells a story about friendship, loss, resilience, and making the most of the time we have left. This has frustrated some longtime fans who travel across the globe to see multiple shows, but as the upcoming documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band reveals, it was inspired by Springsteen’s experience on Broadway in 2017-18, and crafted with meticulous care.

Fifteen years ago, writer/director Henry Selick brought the world a stop-motion animated adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novella Coraline – and now, Variety confirmed, he’s planning to make another Gaiman-inspired movie. This time, Selick will be bringing the story of Gaiman’s novel The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which Selick considers to be the author’s crowning achievement, to the screen. Hanna director Joe Wright was attached to direct a live-action adaptation of the novel back in 2013, but that never made it into production.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane has the following description: A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. Although the house he lived in is long gone, he is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock, and her mother and grandmother.

Having been in the entertainment industry for almost twenty-five years, Key has amassed twenty-three award nominations, including three wins with a Peabody, an American Comedy Award, and an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.

Cancer subplots are an extremely tough needle to thread on television. When you're dealing with a disease that causes millions of new cases each year, the line between handling the subject sensitively and crossing the line into exploitation is thinner and blurrier than it might be with other topics. "Bones" may have done a poor job handling cannibalistic serial killers with its Gormogon arc -- a storyline that even Booth himself, David Boreanaz, has admitted was "bad television" -- but for the vast majority of people watching at home, cannibalistic serial killers, unlike cancer, aren't something they'll ever have to worry about in their real lives.
This was absolutely on creator Hart Hanson and his writing staff's minds when they decided to tackle The Big C. "Bones," unlike a lot of other crime procedurals, was equally invested in the home lives of the Jeffersonian Institute's employees as when they were...

Director Emma Tammi was facing quite a lot when bringing Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen with writers like Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback.
Not only did they have the challenge of delivering a fresh spin on a beloved IP already adapted in multiple other mediums, they are also facing down the dreaded video game adaptation curse and the film arriving amid a small but noticeable resurgence of “stranger danger” titles (think It, The Black Phone, Barbarian and Knock at the Cabin.)
Yet, the biggest challenge for the Five Nights at Freddy’s director may have been the one thing that most horror franchises are thinking about in a completely opposite way than her film: kids. Hollywood has a long history of making scary things for little(r) audiences — think Fright Krewe, Goosebumps, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Coraline, Wendell & Wilde, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Scooby-Doo! and Are You Afraid of the Dark?...

Marjan’s return to Austin included a hell of a detour on Tuesday’s 9-1-1: Lone Star, which found the firefighter facing off against a familiar foe.
With Kylie safely en route to Florida by bus, a furious (and unfortunately free) Grant sought revenge on Marjan, running her off the road before literally hunting her down with the intent to murder. The grueling hour chronicled Marjan’s desperate fight to escape — and ultimately kill — her attacker, all while protecting a young girl named “Mouse,” whose friend and friend’s parents died in a car accident caused by Grant and Marjan’s chase.

Hello, everyone! We’re back with the next two-part video interview for our Ihm: Revisited series and it features none other than genre legend Barbara Crampton. Back in 2012, this writer had the privilege of speaking with Crampton about her early career, when she moved from New York to Los Angeles in search of more acting opportunities, and she ended up landing the role of Trista on Days of Our Lives. From there, Barbara was cast in Fraternity Vacation and eventually Re-Animator, which not only helped her fall in love with horror movies, but led to an ongoing collaboration with Stuart Gordon and Jeffrey Combs through several other films, including Castle Freak and From Beyond.
Crampton also discussed working in Italy for Castle Freak and how she saw From Beyond as a pivotal character for her at that time in her career, as well as her thoughts on why Katherine is...

Exclusive: One of the most anticipated new series on Paramount+, iCarly, is undergoing a behind-the-scenes leadership change.
Jay Kogen has stepped down as executive producer and co-showrunner on the new iteration of the 2007-12 Nickelodeon comedy. Fellow executive producer/co-showrunner Ali Schouten remains on board; it is unclear whether the series will bring in a new co-showrunner.

A glob of stray semen is slathered on as impromptu hair gel. A high school flutist describes all the graphic details of her "one time at band camp." A slobbering frat boy climbs a ladder for a close look at disrobing co-eds — a glimpse so revelatory that he plummets backward without batting an eye. Raunch-comedy history is littered with off-color climaxes, and the genre hasn't blown its load quite yet.

We go from the frozen hills to the warm sunshine of Palm Springs and Fraternity Vacation. Not many people associate spring break with Palm Springs (in fact, most people associate it with retired old folks), but don’t tell that to Larry ‘Mother’ Tucker, Charles ‘Chas’ Lawlor III or Wendell Tvedt. They leave their snowy Iowa University and head there for the time of their lives in what may be the best spring break narrative film ever made. Revenge of the Nerds 2 tries hard for that honor, but falls just a bit short.
In the film, Wendell is a nerd. Plain and simple. Over the course of the trip he gains the friendship of two of his frat brothers when his dad offers them his condo for the week. To top it off, his father also offers the fraternity a hot tub and jacuzzi if they can help his son find a girl.

Thomas J. Churchill So what exactly is it that makes a Thomas J. Churchill production or horror film different? What exactly is it that makes his brand of horror films & productions stand out? With efforts such as the upcoming Hallow Pointe, Mr. Hush and Emerging Past (both of which star Stephen Geoffreys), his films involve some kind of evil that is hiding beneath the surface of things and how it is brought out. Sometimes that evil is internal such as in werewolves in the star studded Hallow Pointe. Sometimes it is hiding behind the facade of any house, on any street in America such as in Mr. Hush. Or sometimes evil is hiding behind the facade of what appears to be a normal town in Emerging Past. With such an interesting trademark, it arouses a cuiousity into what else he can do in exploring this theme and what other evils...

Beach Vacancy Written, produced, directed, and co-starring Brad Leo Lyon and also starring Jon Alderman (All's Faire In Love / Minor League), Beach Vacancy is a horror / comedy that tells the story of five college kids who veer of course on their way to Tiki Beach. Instead, they find themselves directed to the Sandpiper Motel, a potentially haunted resort right on the water.
Beach Vacancy promises to deliver on the charm of the fondly remembered Saturday the 14th while featuring some side splitting, belly laughs in the vein of such teen sex comedies as Spring Break or Fraternity Vacation. Beach Vacancy even features a dash of Scooby Doo as the film's protagonist stumble upon a mystery and find themselves having to solve it.

The beach movie has come a long way from the days of Frankie & Annette, Gidget and The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini.
On second thought, maybe it hasn't changed at all. They've always been about the same things: babes, beefcake, and trying to get laid without getting sand in your nether regions.
Of course, the beach films of yesteryear could only hint at it, but you knew that beneath the Aquanet and Brylcreem, those kids were waiting to sexually explode (in between having to dodge all those giant radioactive insects so prominent in that era).
The beach films of recent times don't have to hint at anything, and can be as blatantly sexual and nuded up as they want. And they don't have to tiptoe around the "love that dare not speak its name" either, although if you read between the lines of those 60's films, we were always there,...
