Aerials, flying over Brooklyn Junkyard, filmed by DP Phil Gries, creating an alternative opening in the film, but never used in the final cut. 35mm Arriflex BL 1 used for most of the filming with only prime lenses.
Filming completed in New York City and Brooklyn New York over a period of 37 shooting days from October 20 to December 3, 1983.
DP Phil Gries hired to replace DP John Drake who began filming first two days, location shooting, and then fired. Salary accepted by Gries, $100 per day. $3,700 compensation for the entire 37 days of filming.
