Season one was about the battles between M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. using their technologically advanced weapons and vehicles. Season two switched focused to a racing element where M.A.S.K. would race against V.E.N.O.M. and put a stop to their rigging races.
M.A.S.K. is a media franchise created by Kenner. The main premise revolved around the fight between an underground task force called M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) against a criminal organization called V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).
Gloria Baker's Porche she used in the first series is the only vehicle Kenner did not make a toy of. Instead, Gloria was released with a Lamborghini Countach which never appeared in the animated series.
M.A.S.K. was created with the intention to sell children's toys that were something between Transformers and G.I. Joe. In 2016, the three where combined with Action Man, Micronauts and Rom in an extensive ongoing series of IDW comic books titled the "Revolution" series explaining how using a captured Transformer and reverse engineering the technology gave birth to the spectrum technology of M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M.
As of 2016, plans to make a feature film are being planned for development.
