Alan Thicke later said the film was so bad not even Jim Carrey was funny in it.
Almost half of the movie was filmed on Gold Peak in Vail, Colorado.
As a testament to how bad the movie is, there's a mini subplot where Jim Carrey's character agrees to help a girl confess her love for her boss. Together they ask the hotel staff for a white sheet and a rope so Jim Carrey can dress up like an Arab and approach the boss character in disguise. Later, the girl's boss thanks Jim Carrey for helping the girl confess her love, but the Arab scene was never shown at all, and there's no explanation of what happened. The scene was probably filmed but may have been cut due to being too ridiculous or offensive.
Despite being the top-billed actor, Jim Carrey has about 15 minutes of screentime. Most of the film is people skiing and musicians performing different songs.
When Jim Carrey's character is around women he gets nervous and basically does what was Jim Carrey's early career, doing impressions the likes of Jack Nicholson. This particular "tick" allowed him to basically turn his act into a movie character.
