Game developer Capcom just quietly announced that the next major entry in their massively successful horror franchise Resident Evil is getting a new entry soon! Resident Evil 7: Biohazard director Koshi Nakanishi revealed Resident Evil 9 is in development, per IGN.
It was really difficult to figure out what to do after [Resident Evil 7]. But I found it, and to be honest it feels substantial. I can't share any details just yet, but I hope you're excited for the day I can.Koshi Nakanishi
The news came during the recent Capcom Next: Summer 2024 event, where Capcom showed new footage of its Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster (out September 19) and launched a demo for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, a game based on new IP releasing on July 19.
Additionally, Capcom released the iOS port of Resident Evil 7 on July 2, so those who own the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max can now play the mobile version.

There’s not much that can improve the already impeccable Resident Evil 4 remake that Capcom released about six months ago. A remake that understood what made the 2004 original release so beloved while using lessons learned from Resident Evil 2 (2019) to bring it into the modern era. For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if it ends up being in many “Game of the Year” conversations. There was a part of it missing, however.
No, not Mercenaries but something added in the original PS2 release that somehow never found its way to the remake. I’m talking about Separate Ways, the story-focused expansion that told the events of the game through the eyes of super agent Ada Wong, Leon Kennedy’s budding romance/rivalry partner. Classic rock is littered with songs that didn’t get the recognition they deserved. Lisa Marie Presley said one of Elvis Presley’s songs deserves more attention. That track appears to have been overshadowed by its much more famous B-side. Even in the United Kingdom, which was often more kind to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s singles, the track in question was not a big deal.
Lisa Marie Presley called 1 Elvis Presley song ‘really beautiful’
During a 2012 interview with Goldmine, Lisa Marie was asked if she was a fan of Elvis’ work with Sun Records, the label he left before he became a major superstar. “Yes, I’m definitely a fan of all that stuff,” she replied. “But for me it’s just the fact that I was around more to see him perform in the ’70s, I’m still really attracted to those songs of his like ‘Just Pretend.

Elvis Presley‘s “Burning Love” is such a famous and beloved song that it’s tough to imagine that Elvis wasn’t the biggest fan of it. That might have had more to do with Elvis’ personal life than anything about the song’s lyrics or composition. In 2015, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra released a version of “Burning Love” with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s vocals and a new instrumental arrangement.
Elvis Presley preferred ‘Separate Ways’ to ‘Burning Love’
According to a 2022 video uploaded to the Elvis Presley YouTube channel, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll wasn’t interested in recording “Burning Love.” His recent divorce from Priscilla Presley made him more interested in recording sad ballads, such as the forgotten classic “Separate Ways.”
However, producer Felton Jarvis wanted to help Elvis record a new big hit. After all, none of Elvis’ tunes had reached the top 30 in two years.

Elvis Presley released so many classic songs that his classic songs inspired classic songs. For example, Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” was a throwback to his music. Lisa Marie Presley revealed what she thought about “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and Queen as a whole.
Lisa Marie Presley knew Elvis Presley inspired Queen’s ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’
During a 2012 interview with Goldmine, Lisa Marie discussed her feelings about 1970s music. “One of my first shows was The Jackson 5,” she recalled. “They used to play down the road in Vegas. My first real rock concert was Queen at the Forum in L.A. in 1978 or 1979. It was incredible.
“I loved the theatrics,” she said. “I loved Freddie. I thought Queen were awesome. I’m a big fan of theatrics. I brought Freddie a gift, one of my father’s scarves and I gave it to him backstage.

Capcom is still keeping mum regarding the rumoured “Separate Ways” Dlc for the remake of Resident Evil 4, but they certainly won’t be for long. After the game’s impressive sales feat back in March, Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 4 remake has topped five million units sold worldwide across PC and consoles.
Even more impressive is the fact that RE4 hit the 5 million milestone faster than Resident Evil Village by a couple of months. Resident Evil 4 also hit 3 million in sales two whole days before Village hit the same total when it launched.
Want more numbers? As of March 31, 2023, the Resident Evil franchise has now exceeded 142 million units sold worldwide since the first game debuted in 1996.

Elvis Presley didn’t write many songs, but he provided the Memphis flair and powerful vocals that made his music soar. One song written for him touched on a deeply personal moment in his life when he got divorced from Priscilla Presley. It was also an emotional track for his daughter, Lisa Marie.
‘Separate Ways’ was written about Elvis Presley’s divorce to Priscilla
“Separate Ways” was released as a single in 1972. The song was co-written by Richard Mainegra and a member of the Memphis Mafia, Elvis’s bodyguard Red West. In an interview shared via Express, Mainegra said he and Red wanted to write a song about Elvis’ split from Priscilla and how it affected their daughter. They didn’t think it would get approved as the singer wouldn’t want to record something so intimate and revealing.
“We started leaning the storyline toward Elvis’ break-up with Priscilla and how it affected their daughter,...

Elvis Presley‘s ballads are some of the best in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. One of these songs seems to reference Elvis’ personal life. Despite that juicy gossip, it didn’t receive much attention.

“Separate Ways” is one of the best songs Elvis put out in the 1970s. During this period, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll put out more country songs than he had in a long time. The country influence in “Separate Ways” is obvious and it sounds great.
It’s really easy to look at “Separate Ways” as a song about Elvis’ divorce from Priscilla Presley. There’s even a reference to the couple in the song having a daughter! “Separate Ways” feels a lot more personal than most of the singer’s work, so it’s surprising it hasn’t received more attention.

Going off of Steam numbers alone, it’s safe to say that Capcom has another sales hit on their hands with the Resident Evil 4 remake. How big you ask? Try over 3 million units in sales worldwide in the span of two days.
Capcom confirmed that in addition to the consistent high review scores on from various publications (including our own), and the praise and attention following the release of the Chainsaw Demo, the Resident Evil 4 remake has surpassed 3 million units in sales in just the first two days after its release.
To put this into perspective, Resident Evil Village eclipsed 3 million in sales across PC and consoles four days after its release back in 2021. Capcom’s previous dip into the remake pool with Resident Evil 3 only managed 2.7 million in sales in its first three months.

Elvis Presley‘s songs didn’t always make it to No. 1 even when they were five-star classics. For example, one song about a fad dance stopped “Can’t Help Falling in Love” from reaching the top position. Meanwhile, “Always on my Mind” didn’t even reach the top 10.
Elvis Presley | Michael Ochs Archives / Stringer 5. ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’
With the possible exception of “Blue Christmas,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is probably Elvis’ most famous song today. It’s been covered many times and appeared in numerous films. It’s so simple, but this delicate ballad manages to communicate the idea of love better than just about any other song.
Despite this, it didn’t manage to top the Billboard Hot 100. According to Stereogum, it was kept from the top position by “Peppermint Twist” by Joey Dee and the Starliters. Life isn’t fair.

It is indeed time for more Stranger Things. Netflix’s retro sci-fi horror hit hasn’t produced new episodes since season 3 signed off on July 4, 2019.
Now the show is finally set to return on May 27, 2022, and based on this action-packed new trailer from Netflix, it has spent those three years hard at work at making the grandest season yet. Let’s break down everything we learned about Stranger Things season 4 based on that three-minute epic!
The End of Season 3
The trailer opens with a helpful reminder of how season 3 ended. In the Russian lab deep underneath Starcourt Mall, we see the ruins of the machine that was intended to open a new portal to The Upside Down. Chief Jim Hopper...

The official trailer for the Duffer Brothers’ “Stranger Things 4” just dropped and with it comes that sensation we’re all familiar too familiar with – an endorphin rush of excitement for the return of the Netflix series (we get to see our friends again!), followed closely by antsy anticipation (why isn’t it May 27 now?) There is also, of course, confusion.
“Stranger Things” Season 4 sees the action divided between small town Hawkins; suburban California; and snowy Russia (where Hopper is now a prisoner). The new trailer, which clocks in at three-and-a-half-minutes and is scored to a spooky remix of Journey favorite “Separate Ways,” introduces these concepts and a whole lot more, which led us to puzzle over some of the finer points.
Here are our biggest questions after watching the trailer for “Stranger Things 4.”
Spoiler warning for “Stranger Things 4.” This is a lot of loose speculation but some of it could be right!

The “Stranger Things” kids are all grown up and going to war with the monsters of the Upside Down in the official trailer for Season 4.
Set to a looping version of the pulse in Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” the trailer sees Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink) enter high school, while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) are in California. As the friends navigate their different surroundings, a new supernatural threat surfaces, forcing them to once again confront the horrors of the Upside Down.
“A war is coming. Your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of a storm,” Eleven is warned. “I don’t know how to say this other than just to say it — without you, we can’t win this war.” Cue the title cards: “Every ending has a beginning.”

“Stranger Things” is back. And not a moment too soon.
The beloved, 80s-set sci-fi adventure, about a group of kids in small town America who battle otherworldly oddness thanks to their proximity to an alternate dimension known as the Upside Down, is finally set to return at the end of May, with a batch of super-sized episodes (with another bundle of episodes coming in July). And now we’ve got the best look yet at the upcoming season, known as “Stranger Things 4.”
Over the weekend, the creators and showrunners of “Stranger Things,” the Duffer Brothers, called this season the “Game of Thrones” season, given how geographically spread out the characters are and how beefy the episodes themselves are. And the trailer certainly bears that out, with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) living with Will (Noah Schnapp) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) in California. Of course Hopper (David Harbour) is stuck in Russia...

New Kids on the Block released a video for their new song “Bring Back the Time” last week that’s perhaps the most potent expression of nostalgia we’ve ever seen. It’s the past in its purest, most uncut form, like it was created in Walter White’s secret basement laboratory and injected directly into the veins of their fans.
The video, which doubles as a commercial for the group’s upcoming Mixtape Tour, features Rick Astley, Salt-n-Pepa, and En Vogue (who are all on the tour) re-creating classic...

As soon as Lollapalooza’s lineup was announced this year, fans online found themselves ogling, confused, at one band in particular: Journey. Although their legendary career needed no introduction, their inclusion at this particular festival did. Lollapalooza is known to cater to underage suburbanites and 20-somethings from the Midwest. There’s a 19-year age gap between the formation of Journey and that of Modest Mouse, the next oldest band on Lollapalooza’s bill this year. Only three other acts also got their start before this century: Jimmy Eat World, Limp Bizkit,...

A new chapter of the Journey saga began Thursday night when they played Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. It marked the return of drummer Deen Castronovo after a six year absence, the debut of new drummer Narada Michael Walden, and new keyboardist/backup singer Jason Derlatka. Bassist Randy Jackson had to miss the show due to back surgery, so Marco Mendoza filled in for him. Journey were also joined by classic-era members Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain along with longtime vocalist Arnel Pineda.

Neil Young has many complete albums tucked away in his vault, but none have captivated his hardcore fans through the years quite like Homegrown. The album was cut in late 1974 and early 1975 just as his relationship with girlfriend Carrie Snodgress was coming to a painful end. He poured all of his agony into the music, but ultimately didn’t feel comfortable sharing it with the world.
“It was a little too personal,” Young told Rolling Stone‘s Cameron Crowe in 1975. “It scared me. … I’ve never released any of those.

Neil Young’s legendary unreleased album Homegrown will finally come out in 2020. He recorded it in 1975 and was on the verge of releasing it, going as far as commissioning cover art, when he decided at the last minute to shelf it in favor of Tonight’s The Night.
“A record full of love lost and explorations,” Young wrote on the Neil Young Archives. “A record that has been hidden for decades. Too personal and revealing to expose in the freshness of those times…The unheard bridge between Harvest and Comes a Time,...

In February 2017, Journey went to Japan for a special show at Tokyo’s Budokan that featured a complete performance of 1981’s Escape and 1983’s Frontiers at the request of legendary Japanese concert promoter Mr. Udo in honor of his 50th anniversary in the business. “There’s a few songs I don’t even recall playing, like [the Frontiers track] ‘Troubled Child,” Journey guitarist Neal Schon told Rolling Stone at the time. “Digging back into that stuff has been a lot of fun.”
