Another Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow set video has landed today, this time showing the Maiden of Might battling a formidable-looking foe atop a spaceship. She then appears to fly into him, sending the villain hurtling into the unknown.

Supergirl, meanwhile, clings to the side of another ship after their altercation, suggesting that this is a high-speed chase of some sort. If they're hurtling through space, it makes sense why the hero isn't simply taking flight here.

As for the identity of the person Supergirl is battling, many fans are convinced it's meant to be Jason Momoa's Lobo. While we can't fully discount the idea, the photographer in question has said that the actor had announced he'd wrapped shooting before this footage was taken.

That doesn't mean it's not a stuntman, of course, but this looks more like a generic cosmic baddie than the Dcu's Scourge o' the Cosmos.

Comedian Roy Wood Jr. has been tapped to host the 85th annual Peabody Awards, which takes place June 1 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. This reps Wood’s first time as Peabody host, and the second consecutive year the awards ceremony has taken place in Southern California.

News comes follows Wood’s recent stint as host of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Wood is probably best known as a long-time correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show”; he currently is host of CNN’s comedy talker “Have I Got News for You.”

In 2023, Ryuhei Tamura's science-fiction seinen manga, Cosmos, made its debut in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday Gene-x magazine. Recently, the series received glowing praise from Rumiko Takahashi, the popular creator behind works such as Inuyasha, Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2.

Per Comic Natalie, Cosmos recently revealed the commemoration events held to celebrate the release of its fifth volume. The celebration included the grand opening of Cosmos pop-up shops in Ikebukuro, Nagoya and Sapporo, which will sell a variety of themed merchandise. Additionally, Rumiko Takahashi honored the work with a special comment, which is featured on the manga's cover. "[Cosmos] is a surreal story that is connected to everyday life," she wrote. Following a Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom screening on Nov. 1, director Mitsuo Fukuda, Kira voice actor Soichiro Hoshi and producer Hisakazu Naka appeared on stage to announce Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom Zero, a brand-new entry in the franchise. While the manga creators mostly have different tastes, both Kubo and Arakawa agreed on one prominent manga and were eager to recommend it to their fans. This manga is called Cosmos and is written by Ryūhei Tamura, who is majorly known in the manga industry for Beelzebub, a popular shonen manga that came out in 2009. It also got an Ova adaptation that came out in 2010.

The Jokers in France has revealed an offiical trailer for a loud and wild comedy called Dog on Trial, marking the feature directorial debut of Swiss-French actress Laetitia Dosch. Still waiting for this to get a US release date (probably in early 2025 at this point) but happy to start the buzz early anyway - especially for dog lovers. Set in Switzerland, and inspired by a true story, the film is about Avril, a young lawyer specializing in animal defense. She goes a bit overboard to try and save her client, a repeat-offender dog, from capital punishment in Switzerland, in a trial about the dog biting a woman.

The strike remains a hot-button conversation, but the topic has changed. The writers are a given and the directors made a deal; today, it’s all about the actors.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) begins contract negotiations June 7; its contract expires June 30. If SAG-AFTRA joined the writers on strike, it would mean a near-total shutdown of the industry.

SAG took the rare step of calling for a strike authorization vote and goes into the talks with of 97.91 percent of its members willing to go on strike if a fair deal isn’t reached.

“We’re really at an inflection point in the industry,” SAG-AFTRA chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland told IndieWire. “There are some issues that are really time sensitive and of crucial importance perhaps in ways that aren’t always the case. It’s an important moment for the labor movement in the entertainment industry and in the broader economy in this country.

Carl Sagan, for those who may not know, was an astronomer and charismatic cosmologist who came into the public eye in 1980 with the broadcast of his PBS series "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage." That show, in addition to Sagan's many novels, books, and lectures, helped popularize astral science, bringing casual conversations about space to new heights. 

Sagan's popularity is understandable. He was affable and well-spoken, and he talked about fun scientific concepts like the existence of UFOs, and the actual, mathematical odds that an alien civilization might someday visit Earth; given the size of the universe, Sagan calculated that there are at least a million Earth-like civilizations out there somewhere. The film "Contact" is based on his novel.
