Sex & Nudity

  • In one scene, Gabriel opens a bag and removes a dildo.
  • In another scene, Angela walks through the house and, in separate rooms, discovers her parents in bed with their lovers (presumably after a night of intercourse). Her father and lover are semi-clothed; her mother is naked from the waist up.
  • Gabriel and Angela have a sexually suggestive conversation wherein Angela asks if Gabriel would sleep with a cripple.
  • The film concerns a family where both parents are engaged in affairs. As such, an undercurrent of sexuality seems to run through the film. Framed nude female art is seen on the wall.

Violence & Gore

  • The mother almost slaps Angela but is stopped by the father.
  • In another scene, the mother trains a gun on a group of three people walking on a dare. No shots are fired.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters frequently smoke and consume alcohol.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The climactic Chinese Roulette sequence is psychologically intense.
  • The film's themes are similarly disturbing.
