The Raisuli's departure scene before the final battle recalls Auda abu Tayi's departure from Wadi Rumm in the Lean film, and the Raisuli saying that he undertakes various actions (kidnapping Eden, returning her to the Americans, for instance) for "his pleasure", as does Auda. Raisuli kills 2 interlopers drinking from his well, just as Sherif Ali kills Lawrence's guide for drinking from his well.
