Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War is expected to hit like a pavement-buckling Hulk smash on April 27, but those unwilling to wait that long for Earth's Mightiest Heroes to reassemble can get an early taste of the Thanos-thwarting action in Marvel's current stable of video games.
Marvel is adding a number of updates to its video games, following its rollout focused on February's Black Panther, which brought content inspired by the Ryan Coogler blockbuster to Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, Contest of Champions, Future Fight and Avengers Academy. Marvel Entertainment and developer FoxNext Games have released the first trailer for their upcoming mobile strategy RPG, Marvel Strike Force.
See related Lord Of The Rings: what could we see in the TV adaptation? Lord Of The Rings films, and discovering Middle Earth Ranking the endings of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King
This mobile title will ask players to assemble a team of Marvel superheroes and do battle against a Kree warlord named Ultimus and other, lesser, forces of evil. Ultimus is quite fond of going from dimension to dimension and taking over planets. He's recently arrived on Earth and is hoping that nobody minds if he continues to destroy planets. Naturally, Marvel's mightiest heroes are there to stop him.

Teasers for games can be hit or miss with cinematics being confused for actual gameplay. But when I see something that says actual gameplay, and it looks good, well you have my attention now.
Well that looks alright there. I think my main draw is the designs seem to combine the comic and movie looks. I'm hoping that there's a costume selection cause I'll admit I like some movie designs over comic ones and vice versa. Now there's not a lot of info for the release but we're looking to change that. Official synopsis reads as follows.
"Coming in 2018, Marvel Strike Force tasks players to recruit squads of Marvel’s greatest Super Heroes and Super Villains to battle it out on mobile devices. Marvel Strike Force is the first title from FoxNext Games’ new mobile game studio in Los Angeles, comprised of former members of mobile entertainment company Kabam.

80s and 90s kids: prepare to discover your new favourite shop...

It’s ice to meet Nathan Darrow’s Mr. Freeze, but the overcrowded-ness of this mid-season premiere means he’s given short shrift…

2.12 Mr Freeze
Holy lengthy absence, Batman! After a mid-season break of three full months, Gotham season 2 has finally returned to our screens. It’s been so long that it could almost feel like the start of a new season rather than a continuation. That is, if it wasn’t for the eight and a half minutes of recapping that took place at the start of the episode.
The montage of all the villains we’ve already met felt a tad unnecessary, as did the not-yet-followed-up-on scene in which Tabitha and Butch formed an alliance, reminded us that Theo Galavan is dead, and clinked metal things saucily. I can’t help feeling that Jim’s flashback-heavy questioning session with Harvey Dent...

As a performer, Batista is unfairly maligned by the hardcore wrestling fan community. His most recent stint in 2014, despite being plagued by several speedbumps in the initial weeks, ended up being one of the most unselfish runs of any top guy in recent memory. He lost virtually every significant match he appeared in other than the Royal Rumble and did his utmost to put new stars over.
Dave has struggled with a reputation of being a guy that others have a difficult time getting along with. In the early years of his main event push he had quite a few run-ins with his colleagues, and at one point was criticized as only caring about “girls and cars” (he would have made a great member of Strike Force, then!). In short, the muscular movie star was not well-liked by some members of the WWE locker room. Hell, even some...

Gotham's mid-season finale was a little lacking in excitement, but gave us some hefty teases of things to come…
Holy mid-season finale, Batman! To get straight to the point – this week’s Gotham episode wasn’t one of my favourites. I’m not trying to slam the series on the whole (indeed, I’ve been enjoying it for the most part), but Worse Than A Crime lacked a certain pizzazz, in my eyes.
It’s difficult to put a finger on exactly why it didn’t ignite my interest, but I guess I just wanted a little bit more excitement after ten episodes of build-up. Finally, the showdown between Bruce Wayne and The Order Of Saint Dumas (TOoSD) has come to pass, but, in terms of actual action and violence, it didn’t amount to much.
Despite Bruce’s stellar Batman-like behaviour last week, Worse...

This week’s Gotham had some great fight scenes, big plot advancements and Batman-like behaviour…
This review contains spoilers.
2.10 The Son Of Gotham
Holy spicy mustard, Batman! If you’re ever in a heated pub discussion with someone who thinks Gotham is more of a police procedural than a Batman prequel, this is the episode to mention when you’re ready to unpick their argument.
Indeed, The Son Of Gotham had heaps of references to DC history. This stellar episode really embraced the visual and storytelling lore of the comics, taking familiar motifs and using them in in some engaging ways.
The Order Of Saint Dumas (TOoSD) arrived with a bang this week, making an immediate impression in that short pre-title-card mugging scene. And here was us thinking that it’d be years before Gotham showed us a darkly dressed figure apprehending a street criminal and disappearing from sight.

This week’s Gotham made up for some dodgy fight scenes with some winning dialogue exhanges…
This review contains spoilers.
2.9 A Bitter Pill To Swallow
Holy climactic cannibal, Batman! This week’s episode of Gotham got a lot of things right, particularly by spending time with its characters rather than rushing from one set piece to the next.
Mixing up the formula a bit, A Bitter Pill To Swallow saw Gotham’s trademarked shoot-out scene brought forward to the middle the episode. This structural shift allowed for dialogue-driven scenes to flow at their own pace on either side of the action, rather than having to ratchet up to a conclusion as you’d usually expect.
Particularly welcome were the moments where Gotham took its time to examine its protagonist’s mental state. After all, there’s often so much going on that Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon...

Holy shotgun wedding, Batman! Tonight’s The Night marks one of Gotham’s best episodes to date. Only the mob war episodes at the end of last year and the Jerome trilogy at the start of this season have had a similar level of thrills and unpredictability.
Episodes that hinge on villains needing to kill some time are rarely inspiring instalments of comic book TV shows, but Galavan’s desire to distract Jim this week reaped some seriously impressive results. Galavan sent Barbara to waylay the morally murky detective, enabling Jim’s former fiancée to enact her wedding fantasy that opened the episode in such unsettling style.

This week’s Gotham featured an army of Penguin lookalikes, but not much else to demand our attention…

2.7 Mommy's Little Monster
Holy handy vending machine, Batman! This week’s Gotham escalated fairly quickly, didn’t it? Within forty-five minutes of the Galavans killing Oswald’s mum, things had developed into a full-blown public shootout featuring plenty of death.
The only problem is this: we’ve seen shoot-outs countless times in Gotham already. Each new iteration of this people-shooting-each-other staple scene needs a truly stand-out hook if it’s going to lodge itself in our memories for long.
Mommy’s Little Monster’s attempted Usp was the huddle of Penguin lookalikes that swarmed the locale to hide Oswald among the crowd. But while this was a nice visual flourish, it wasn’t quite enough to make this episode all that remarkable. The multiple Oswalds were introduced,...

Gotham, Season 2, Episode 7, “Mommy’s Little Monster”
Written by Robert Hull
Directed by Kenneth Fink
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on Fox
The season of Gotham comes to a turning point as more people are becoming well aware of Galavan’s evil plan, which may put things in his way. This is a fair time for this to happen, as Galavan has now become Mayor of Gotham City. Before having the power of the mayoral office, Galavan was already a force to be reckoned with, but now, with it, he may very well be unstoppable.
Galavan wastes no time either, initiating Marshal law for the interim until the Penguin is caught, which he does with the aid of Harvey Dent, who finally makes a return to Gotham. It makes sense that they would introduce more characters that are within Galavan’s sway, which is a good way to set up...

With more twists and turns than the average midseason finale, this week’s Gotham was one of the best yet…
This review contains spoilers.
2.6 By Fire
Holy cliff-hanger, Batman! Despite being placed as the sixth episode of the season, By Fire felt like a midseason finale. That’s mainly because of the whopping revelation at the end; that Wayne Enterprises are in the business of experimenting on ‘monsters.’ Crikey. How’s that for a shock?
We’ve always known that Wayne Enterprises were up to something dodgy, but a bit of insider dealing or black market arms trading or funding a few gangsters is all many might have expected. Deciding to bring them into the ‘testing’ of enhanced people sets them up as a potential equivalent to other evil comic book companies and a genuine overarching adversary for the show going forward.

Gotham, Season 2, Episode 5, “By Fire”
Written by Rebecca Perry Cutter
Directed by Tj Scott
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on Fox
The Firefly story comes to a close this week in spectacular fashion as Gotham balances some very campy elements with emotional truths that skirt the line enough to work as an overall episode. There are many great, genuinely touching moments, others that are pitch-perfect black comedy, and a few instances of weird kitsch ideas that for the most part work, as they are executed with full-on commitment.
Gotham throughout its run has mixed many genres into its mold and some are more successful than others. This season has been more of a city-set western, with how brutal the villains have been and how Gotham feels almost lawless, even among those wearing the badge. Captain Barnes brings in the ideals of civilization, which is what Gordon began with in season one,...

With Halloween on the horizon, this upcoming week will be the last before our mass media starts turning sweeter, warmer, and more holiday-friendly. Until then, enjoy one more healthy serving of human misery, you sickos. Because this past seven days of televised entertainment? It was wonderfully harsh — if you like that kind of thing. The Walking Dead (apparently) just killed off one of its most likable characters. Carrie is off her meds (again) on Homeland. And the Cubs… well, no, let's not talk about that. Some things are just too horrible.

This review contains spoilers.
2.5 Scarification
Holy low-friction mouth feel, Batman! This week’s Gotham tried to do a lot, with only one of the three main strands on offer really making any headway as a result.
A fondue party with Ed Nygma was teased, but that didn’t result in much more than a quick toast followed by a cutaway to the next scene. Clearly the long game is being played with Nygma’s dual personalities. Who knows when he’ll actually become The Riddler, but it does feel like they could have done more with him this week. Ed becoming cool and confident has dramatic and comedic potential, after all.

This week on Fox’s Gotham, as Firefly began to flicker, light was also shed on the dark (and ancient) origin of Theo Galavan’s agenda.
Related2016 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Cancelled? What’s on the Bubble?
Theo Galavan this week was hot to make more mayhem, tasking his “tool,” Penguin, with burning to the ground several specific buildings. Penguin in turn offered the arson gig to the Pike brothers, who took it after Selina vouched for her “friend” (an extra $100, please!) Butch.
The Pikes however found themselves down a man when Captain Barnes’ Strike Force raided an illegal armory.

Written by Jordan Harper
Directed by Bill Eagles
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on Fox
The season continues to build this week as the Gcpd make good on their mission to go after The Penguin and his crime organization with the newly created Strike Force. The team get their first big win hitting The Penguin in his wallet hard, but unbeknownst to them there is a looming evil that is implementing a plan just above The Penguin and he’s looking to send a message to the Gotham elitists whom have wronged his family name.
While the Gcpd go after The Penguin, Galavan has been targeting Wayne Enterprises, the family that corrupted his legacy during the inception of the city. Tonight’s episode of Gotham will feature the small screen debut of Firefly, another well-known villain from the Batman comic books who has undergone some pretty major alterations in the Fox series.
Gotham‘s version of the character is going to be a woman, and Michelle Veintimilla will be playing Bridgit Pike in two episodes of the series. The official network description for this particular Firefly reveals that after being enslaved by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists, Bridgit Pike is forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle, the young Cat Woman and the soon-to-be-Firefly team up to put Bridgit’s firestarting skills to good use.

However, after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the meek Cinderella is transformed into a vengeful supervillain, hellbent on destroying those who have wronged her. In a recent interview to promote “Strike Force,...

Here's what Not Cool actress Michelle Veintimilla had to say to TV Insider about finding out she'd been cast as a female take on the DC baddie. “I actually had no idea I would ultimately be playing a villain. It wasn't until my first fitting with costume designer John Glaser that I discovered I'd be portraying the notorious [Firefly]! It was a huge surprise for me.I immediately starting reading up on the different incarnations and quickly realized that Gotham was doing their own take on the character… a new, badass, female version! Bridgit's story goes beyond what you would expect. I'm really excited for everyone to see her story unfold and witness her transformation. It was incredibly empowering to get to play her as an artist and woman.” Tune in to see Firefly in action on tonight's episode of Gotham, "Strike Force".

2.4 Strike Force
Ladies, gentlemen, others – let us discuss this episode! With the opening salvo of interconnected instalments Damned If You Do, Knock Knock and The Last Laugh all wrapped up, there’s a sense that we’re back to Gotham’s status quo with Strike Force.
Penguin was attempting to maintain control, Jim was trying to clean up the Gcpd, Bullock was being a cynic, and Bruce went back to school after his near death experience last week. It was business as usual. We even had a shootout involving Jim and Victor Zsasz, just like old times.
Of course, not every episode can be one of theatrics and dramatic rug-pull death scenes. Some of them are just connective tissue – gradually eking out character arcs,...

Gotham, Season 2, Episode 4, “Strike Force”
Written by Danny Cannon
Directed by Tj Scott
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on Fox
Gotham enters a new arc as Theo Galavan begins to implement phase two of his plan to seize control of the City. The first part of his plan was to bestow chaos by unleashing the Maniax and his next move involves making himself appear as a hero to win the hearts and minds of the citizens. The extent of this plan was accomplished with the surprising twist in last week’s “The Last Laugh”, which also disposed of one of the show’s most interesting villains. This turn has reaped rewards for Galavan, as well as created a new shift in the direction of the season.
Galavan’s staged heroism has won him a candidacy for the Mayor’s office which will give passage for the next phase of his evil plan.

How long has it been since somebody on Gotham promised that change was coming and/or here? Oh, wait, that was only last week, when Theo Gallavan told the people of Gotham City they’ve had enough of people like Jerome Valeska? And then Theo stabbed Jerome in the neck, thereby launching his mayoral campaign. Gotham is that kind of show, one that has worn out all good will thanks to its never-ending promissory style of drama: Don't like what you see on the show? Just wait, it'll change in a moment! Change has been a constant in season two, but none of the recent changes have suggested significant alterations to the status quo."Strike Force" seems to challenge that assumption, but do you trust the show anymore, especially after the events of last week? What about the sudden appearance of Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis), an army-trained straight-arrow cop,...

Michael Chiklis will be appearing on the second season of Fox’s Gotham, and today, we have our first photo of him in character, thanks to EW. The actor will be a series regular and is set to play Captain Nathaniel Barnes, a “law and order zealot who lands on the Gcpd like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force.” He’ll first show up in the fourth episode, which is titled “Strike Force.”
Those familiar with Chiklis will no doubt know that this is not his first time playing a no nonsense cop. The actor became a household name thanks to his role as Vic Mackey on FX’s The Shield, one of the best police shows of all-time, in this writer’s opinion at least. His character here seems similar, though obviously a bit more toned down, and he should prove to be...

EW has provided us with our first look at Michael Chiklis on Fox's Gotham as Captain 'Nathaniel Barnes', alongside Messrs. Bullock & Gordon in the Gcpd precinct. It's probably a familiar setting for the actor who starred in seven seasons of FX's acclaimed crime drama, The Shield. Chiklis will make his debut as Barnes in episode four of the show's second season, which has been titled 'Strike Force' (a homage to his character's team of unethical cops on The Shield). Gotham Season 2 premieres Monday, September 21 on Fox. The stakes are higher than ever as Gotham explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uncovers more secrets from his father’s past.

Earlier this week, we posted Key & Peele's awesome parody of 80s action movies with Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning. But now someone has taken something a little more familiar to audiences by turning Captain America: The Winter Soldier into a Cannon film. You might remember the production banner as being known for crafting wild genre films, and this fanmade video has used the Marvel film to craft a trailer you might find on an old school VHS. It's a little too long, but there's some truly great moments here. Yes, not all the footage is from the sequel, but that's what makes it even more fun. Watch! Here's the Cannon film take on Captain America: The Winter Soldier (via Badass Digest): The year is 2007. Crime is at an all time high and the law has a plan to wipe it out! Captain America (Chris Evans), a Vietnam vet...

The ‘80s were a great time for action movies – a time when men like Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Mel Gibson kicked ass while sporting hilarious mullets, lots of denim, and copious catchphrases. Comedy Central’s Key & Peele take us back to this magical era in this hysterical new trailer for Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning. To paraphrase the Wu-Tang Clan, you best protect your neck while watching this one. Keegan Michael Key stars as Cal Flavell, the actor headlining this clip that looks like it could have come straight out of Cannon Films in 1986. Flavell has to infiltrate the home of a Colombian drug lord (Jordan Peele) to save the damsel in distress. He has a gift for dispatching bad guys in a unique way. The clip really nails all the things that made...

Key & Peele sure do have a great sense of humor, and they never cease to make me laugh. They released a hilarious new comedy short recently that parodies the action films of the 1980s. It's called Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning, and it even came along with the poster above! Here's the brief plot summary:
While infiltrating a crime boss's villa, an action hero relies heavily on one particular maneuver. Music by Power Glove.
I grew up in the 80s and enjoyed all of the awesomeness that the action movies of that era had to offer. This short implements everything that made these 80s action movies so unique, from the quality of the video and sound to the awful dialogue and direction. You're going to love this. ...

It's fun to look back at the 80s nowadays and see just how weird fashion, hair and pop culture was about 30 years ago, and in no place is it on better display than the movies and television shows that debuted during that decade. It's easy to spot a movie that was made in the 80s thanks to mullets, neon and a poor grasp of future technology in almost every film. Now the sketch comedy series "Key & Peele" has set their sights on the actions movies of the 80s for a perfect parody called Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning, which parodies all sorts of terrible movies from the likes of Chuck Norris and other action stars. The next big thing from Bungie has finally arrived, and it's time to see if Destiny is more than Halo with a new paint job...
Regardless of your opinion of Halo or Call Of Duty, one thing can't be disputed – both games play brilliantly. They're fast, fluid, have beautifully tight controls, and gunplay that's amongst the best we've ever seen. Destiny, coming from the makers of Halo, of course, falls into this category.
Right from the off it's easy to see why Bungie's previous Fps titan has gained so many fans. Destiny doesn't only look great, but it feels great too. This is a polished Fps, and you'll instantly feel at home and in control. Yes, it feels very much like Halo, there's no denying that, but that's no bad thing, as Halo was a fine Fps in its own right. In the build up to the Premier League opener between Arsenal and Crystal Palace there have been some big decisions made. Firstly, the departure of Tony Pulis has left Crystal Palace without their saviour and also the man who has proven a thorn in Arsenal’s side year on year.
The other big decisions have been at the feet of Arsene Wenger, whose side have impressed hugely during pre season with the attacking talent at his disposal. Sanogo, Giroud, Sanchez and Akpom have all staked a serious claim for that starting berth, leading the Arsenal attack.
Here is the Arsenal line up:
Szczesny; Chambers, Debuchy, Gibbs, Koscielny; Arteta, Cazorla, Sánchez, Ramsey, Wilshere; Sanogo
Subs: Rosicky, Giroud, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Monreal, Martinez, Coquelin, Campbell

The reason WrestleMania is WWE’s most important show is because more people tune in to that one show per year than anything else WWE puts on. People have been having WrestleMania parties for 30 years and making trips to go the big event because they know it’s going to be a memorable night. Part of what makes it special are when the good guys go bad or the other way around.
It’s important that heel and face turns happen because if people stay in the same role forever it would get boring. When a tag team breaks it up, they usually do it so that one person goes the other way so that they can create a rivalry between the two competitors. Most of the time we can see it coming, but what we really care about is whether the turn is executed the right way.

"Ntsf:sd:suv::" is about to take viewers somewhere they've never been on the Adult Swim show: the United Kingdom. Well, they sort of do, anyway. The series' half-hour event episode, titled "U-ko'ed," was filmed in London despite the fact the episode is supposed to be set in San Diego's Little Britain.
The special two-part episode will have the San Diego-based National Terrorism Strike Force unit meet their Little Britain counterparts, the Socialist Terrorism Task Force: United Kingdom: Double Decker Bus (Sttf:uk:ddb::). The UK special spoofs the likes of "Sherlock" and "Luther," and memorably features British star Karen Gillan putting on her best Rhode Island accent (it's actually quite good).
Now that creator Paul Scheer convinced Adult Swim to ship him and his cast off to London for an episode that's supposed to be set in the United States, where does the cast want the show to go next? "To outer space.

When it comes to Call of Duty games there is an expectation that it will be an action filled romp with a story that serves only to move you from place to place in an interesting fashion. Lots of explosions, double crosses, and of course shooting, are tent poles of the Cod games. Black Ops II doesn't disappoint in any of those categories. What separates Blops II though is its genuinely compelling narrative that kept pushing me to play just one more mission, and in a market filled with generic knock offs that's not something to be dismissed.
