Sex & Nudity

- A few mild sex references are made throughout the series, though they are unlikely to cause offence. In one episode a woman is shown undressing and her underwear is briefly visible. In another episode a reference is made of a character trying to 'grope a girl' along with the same character unintentionally touching a women's breasts from another room.
- A mostly clean show aside from Episode 3 "The Wedding Party" from Series 1 and then Episode 2 & 4 "The Psychiatrist" & "The Kipper and the Corpse" from Series 2. Lots of sexual situations in The Wedding Party & The Psychiatrist. And there's a brief scene that features a sex doll in "The Kipper and the Corpse"
- In some episodes a character wears a dress which reveals some cleavage. Nothing suggestive.
- A woman undresses in one episode, but her underwear stays on and we only see her from the back. This is done in the background and is not sexual.
- A man is seen blowing up a sex doll in a room, but nothing is seen and the scene is very quick.
- One episode involves Basil in various situations trying to catch a man sneaking in a girl. Nothing sexual is shown, but various mild, PG references are made and Sybil talks about how it seems Basil is trying to 'grope a girl'.
- A few mild to moderate sex references.
Violence & Gore

- Slapstick violence is present on most episodes, all of which is done in a comedic way and none of which is graphic or likely to cause offence.
Profanity

- A war veteran refers to Germans as "A bunch of Krauts" and "bad eggs"
- Nothing too explicit, but some iffy phrases and words that suit a more darker comedic genre such as 'kill yourself,' 'twat,' and blatant racism to Manuel, the waiter from Barcelona.
- Occasional usage of mild British profanity, e.g. bastard, hell, bloody, etc.
- A war veteran describes Africans and Indians as 'niggers' and 'wogs', but not in a deliberately offensive way.
- Some jokes about Hitler and WWII in front of a German family
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Alcohol is shown to be consumed, though not to excess, throughout the series. In two episodes characters are shown to be drunk, though excess drinking is not promoted.
- Some casual alcohol. Very little smoking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- A dead body is found and is then subsequently carried around the hotel throughout an episode.
- The Kipper and the Corpse involves very dark humor. A dead body is carried around throughout the entire episode and various darkly comic moments arise. This might be frightening to some.
