This show started showing in my local TV when I was on my 2nd year in elementary school.. Now I'm 22 and married, and the Doraemon series is still playing!! The same hour, same TV station. Different viewer of course, but nonetheless share the same fame. I own almost complete series of its original manga (Japanese comic). What so good about Doraemon is that it keeps me dreaming.. even after years I still love to read it and watch the cartoon. I can laugh, angry, even cry watching it. Google-V, Astro Boy, Gundam has its own era.. but in here, in my country, Doraemon remains the ONLY cartoon show that stands the time (well-- probably besides Dragon Ball)
*SPOILER*: People do not know what's the ending suppose to be. I heard it somewhere that it has two ending, first: Nobita woke up and realized that his experience with Doraemon is just a dream, he was dreaming for a very loooong time. And second: Doraemon got broken, damaged, screwed. It's impossible to fixed. From the time, Nobita changed, not again as a spoil and lazy kid, but determined, hardworking, smart, and discipline. And in the future, he trigger the making of doraemon, and somehow he's the one that send doraemon back to to assist him as a child..
I give it 9/10 (minus one point because the simple graphic AND unclear ending :p )

The show is absolute love!! The episodes keep you hooked and the animation is good. The jokes are humorous from a kid's point of view. The characters have their own flaws. The show succeeds in showing us both a world where doraemon wasn't there and where he was there. The character development is also very good. What it lacks at is it's speed, which is slow

Doraemon isn't perfect. When viewed objectively, it is simply not a masterpiece. BUT, how boring would the world be if we viewed everything objectively, lacking the zeal and passion that is an integral component of our very being.
In a way, Doraemon is like my mother- I know that she isn't perfect, but I love her to the moon and there is nobody who can replace her. And just like that, not a thing in existence can replace Doraemon for me. It defined a major part of my childhood, shaping my memories along the way. I still giggle reminiscing the awe with which I used to adore my television time with Doraemon (And those gadgets, oh those beautiful little gadgets). The curiosity, the giggles, and the emotions that this show carries is beyond anything that I might ever experience in my life.
I'm running short on time, but I can praise this show all day long. I'll end by giving it the highest compliment that I can conjure- Doraemon IS my childhood. And this review is a love letter to my childhood.

This is a very funny animation series about a robot from the future named Doraemon. This robot was sent by Nobita's grand-grandson or something to help Nobita through every little bit of trouble. Nobita happened to be a lazy (but sometimes brilliant) boy who is madly in love with Shizuka, and has two friends: "Giant" Takeshi and Suneo. Whenever Nobita gets into trouble Doraemon always helps with a futuristic gadget which then is misused by Nobita and/or his friends. This series is a legend in Japan and should be released in its entirety as DVD in English, German, Japanese, Indonesian, and Swahili!

I have no more interest watching doreamon because the changed voice artist of suneo and doreamon itself. It has no more fun left since @Wajahat Hasan and @Sonal was removed from job...hence angry and no more interested watching Doreamon Cartoon.

Doraemon is a cat-type robot in the 22nd century. He is 129.3 cm tall, the girth of the chest are 129.3 cm and his weight is 129.3 kg. He has a pocket of the fourth dimension at his stomach. His favorite food is dorayaki which he eats everyday. He has a younger sister whose name is Dorami.
He came to the house of Nobi Nobita from the 22nd century taking a time machine, and he lives with the Nobi. Nobita, the only child of the family, is a friend of Doraemon. He is bullied by his friend Jaian and Suneo almost everyday. In such a time, Doraemon takes out tools made in the 22nd century from his pocket of the fourth dimension for Nobita to punish them. So, Nobita always trusts Doraemon.
Not only he has tools to punish bullies, but he also has various tools from his pocket. For example, take-copter is a tool to fly in the sky. It has a propeller and put it on head. Docodemo-door is a door which enables people to go anyplace. Small light is a light to make a person or objects small.
I said Doraemon is a cat-type robot, but he does not have ears, which his ears were eaten by rats. Therefore, he dislikes rats and this is his weak point. If you pull his small tail, he will stop moving. This is also his weak point.
He was created by F. Fujiko.

Nobita is a fifth standard young boy who scores zero marks in tests conducted by his teacher and his friends Gian and Sunio always make fun of him. He also loves to a girl in his class named Shizuka and jealous of Dekisugi who is the actual topper of the class and has good looks.
Doraemon is a 22nd Century futuristic cat like robot (which looks like a raccoon dog), is manufactured by Matsushiba robot factory. It initially had a yellow body with ears and a much higher-pitched voice, but, one day due to his ears eaten by a rat, he cried so hard that the tears rubbed yellow color off. That's why he's blue in color. This also has created a fear of rats in his mind.
Let's come to the beginning of the first episode..... One day while coming back from school to home, Nobita enters his room and then he suddenly observes that two people are coming out of his desk drawer. One was Sewashi, who was his great grandson, and the other was futuristic cat robot called Doraemon. The room turns blue in color during their arrival. Both of them explains to him, that his life will be banged up with misfortunes from failing in entrance exams to fire blazed in company of his own. At first, he doesn't believe. But when they show Nobita his marriage photos along with Gian's sister Jaiko, he gets panic and starts crying. Sewashi go to his grandfather past so that he can change the future of Nobita as well as his. Sewashi, can tolerate the hardships faced because of his great grandfather, so, he came there so that he could improve the life of his descendants.
Sewashi tells to Nobita that he has bought a futuristic cat robot named Doraemon who has a 4D pocket which provides items to Nobita as an aid called "gadgets" if he is in danger.
But the question arises...... What would be the reason for which Sewashi even sent Doraemon back to help Nobita in the first place, because if Nobita doesn't marry Jaiko and plans to marry Shizuka instead, then how come Sewashi could be born?
In fact, Nobita marrying Jaiko will lead to Sewashi exist as he carried the photos of his great grandfather and grandmother in actual timeline. But, Doraemon was not introduced to alter the timeline establishing Jaiko as is his great grandmother. But if Nobita marries Shizuka in alternate future there would be no Sewashi as Shizuka would be his great grandmother and not Jaiko.
According to my assumption, there is a very different situation here..... I think Sewashi is born from a different branch of the Nobi's family where Shizuka is his grandmother. According to me, Nobita must be having an affair with Shizuka or divorced Jaiko and remarried Shizuka or something must have happened to Sewashi's parents due to which Nobita's grandson adapted him as his child. So, Sewashi wants Nobita to marry only Shizuka in the alternate future as alternated life of Nobita doesn't go that painful.
Doraemon knows what would happen if past is changed due to his knowledge of time travel. This can be interpreted with the following circumstances.
1) In an episode, when they travel to Nobita's Dad past, they found that his dad wants to be a painter but it was found that the girl who was financing him for his painting work, he has to marry only with her. But, he decides to stay with his family. In that it is shown that Nobita was getting weaker and if perhaps he's dad and mom wouldn't meet, he wouldn't exist at all.
2) In other episode, it was shown that when Nobita was infant and had high fever, he (current Nobita) was disappearing. So, Doraemon intervened, thus, altering the timeline.
But, Who was the mastermind behind all this plan?...... Nobita (grown up) was the mastermind of this great time travel intervention. He has executed the plan very skillfully and patiently. He knows that if he removes Jaiko from his path there would be no stress in his life in future. So, in order to make this plan successful he sends his great grandson Sewashi Nobi and tells him to bring a terminator cat design robot called Doraemon that would just speed up the process of him to get closer with Shizuka faster.
Conclusion:- It's Masterpiece...... At first, it looks very easy and uncomplicated. But, when I focused on this facts, I came to know that it's a very complicated story. And if certainly this was the idea of the writer Fujiko F. Fujio and then he has just created a "MASTERPIECE" before converting it into a kids show.

I remember when I was a kid, "Doraemon" was always on TV, and I loved it, and I've been watching this great anime since I was 5 years old. It is my eternal childhood memories! Yes! If only Doraemon could come to my side and show props such as bamboo dragonflies, arbitrary doors, and memory bread!

I spend a lot of time in Barcelona, and the show that I never miss indeed, Spanish TV's saving grace is Doraemon. I watch it in catalan, and it is huge over there, absolutely massive. And it is brilliant! Just the sheer inventiveness of the gadgets and the scenarios I mean, the guy writing the stories is seriously warped. Yes, it is desperately formulaic, but every episode is as enjoyable as the last one, and there are often slightly dark undercurrents and the story is always fast-paced. Plus the cat, Doraemon, is a very lovable character, endlessly patient, while Nobita is a total waste of space, but easily identified with. I don't have a TV in the UK, and am quite happy to carry on watching it in catalan, but I can't help feeling a lot of people are missing out big time... Or perhaps it was on British TV long ago, and I missed it?

I love this show! I had revisited CatDog after years of having not watching, and didn't laugh. I think I've outgrown it. The concept of a cat and dog connected to each other was funny when I was a kid, but now at 29, I thought it was boring. However, I watched this, and I laughed to the point of tears! It's about a Japanese boy named Nobita. He's a good kid overall, but he also has poor common sense and struggles to stay motivated in school. Doraemon, a 22nd century robot cat, was sent to the past to help Nobita, ensuring his descendants can have a better life. He has gadgets that are readily available when he needs to help Nobita. There are other supporting characters as well, who are also children. The humor is quirky, but also doesn't try too hard. Parents don't have to worry about their kids watching this. Just like with Japanese cartoons in general, it's aesthetically pleasing and creative.

Even though i am a teenager i love to watch Doraemon very much it us just so lovable that i can't leave to watch this show. If doraemon creators stop makiinf new episodes that would be a disaster so pls just don't stop making new episodes and keep up the good work. I was finding a platform to review doraemon but i couldn't find a real and official japanese platform or website sp i finally decided to rate it here on imdb. I love this show and will never stop watching this i hope they also never stop making new episodes. Its a perfect all in one show for everyone in which where there is comedy there is sadness, happiness qnd in very emotion and also not just for but for adults as well and every character i would say have a unique identity and habits.

All character of this show looks super bad. Their face looks yikes. Such a silly show who's having a dippy boy nobita. Waste of time & stories are truly bothering. Always nobita gets truble and he run for doraemon. Doraemon display a gadget & gives a boring long lecture according to that gadget like a manual. Then this coward boy run for showing this gadget to that overacted dramatic girl shizuka & after a while he caught by block head gian & suneo,, What more?? A regular story of every episode. And now the producer is making this more indecent. Show name is on doraemon but he's about to extinct & everything about nobita booh!! Irritaiting show ever in the whole world.

No words to say...just I say
..it made my childhood full of happiness
+ I am 19 but I still see it because the way of showing stories and gadgets and characters is just so good 😊😊😊 amazing. Doramon always have all those dreamy gadgets and the scope of episode is very much because of the imagination of any sort of gadget. Nobita being lazy in daily works but become heroic in adventures and helping his friends especially Shizuka..Shizuka being the figure of a perfect girl...a girl should be like.. sweet, helping, beautiful and so on...Gian & Suneo being the villain like characters who always tease Nobita leading to Introduction of new gadget by Doraemon in most episodes....
