Movie trailers for the film declared this picture to be "the first erotic martial arts thriller".
The music score is excerpted from the movie 'Shogun Assassin' (1980) which is an amalgam of Japanese movies from the first two 'Lone Wolf and Cub' series films. Interestingly, the music composer credited on each picture is a different person.
Roger Corman felt actress Jilian Kesner's sexiness wasn't exploited enough when he saw the film's first cut so he hired future 'Forbidden World' (1982) director Allan Holzman to add in a pair of new scenes that required Kesner to strip out of her clothes. The first is the warehouse chase and fight between Kesner and a pair of thugs trying to rape her where she ends up topless in her panties as she beats them up. The other is an overheated sex scene between Kesner and Darby Hinton that involves them cutting off each other's clothing with knives as foreplay. Reportedly, Kesner apparently wasn't too happy with the idea of adding these new scenes just to see her naked on screen, but she felt obligated to do them. It also irritated her that there seemed to be more men on set for those days than usual.
Bug spray was used to simulate mist in one scene.
The fight club arena of death venue seen in the movie was noticeably used for the film 'Enter the Ninja' (1981) which debuted around the same time.
