In the scene where he first meets Hilarie Thompson, Luke Halpin is shown wearing
regular street clothes and shoes. When he mounts his motorcycle, the camera cuts away to someone wearing brown riding boots, kicking the motorcycle to start. Then as he drives away, he's back in his original footwear.
Right before the opening credits, a TWA aircraft lands and the airport PA system announces the arrival of TWA flight 700 yet one of the party is carrying a Pan Am flight bag. (In fairness, it might well have been a bag he had kept from a previous trip.)
When Charlie (Ian McShane) is showing his charges the spot marked "Scaffold" where Henry VIII had two of his wives executed, Charlie walks into the shot just before it cuts to a montage of other British images. His comments about the execution of Henry's wives initially match Charlie's lip movements. But as a voiceover of Peggy Cass posing a question intervenes, Charlie keeps talking, but no sound is heard coming from his mouth for the balance of the shot.
