During the flight while still in deep space, Blaiswick walks by a porthole in the ship and it shows a blue sky outside.
Helmets worn by the astronauts on Mars are open to the outside atmosphere rendering their air supply useless (these appear to be painted motorcycle helmets).
No explanation is given as to why there is gravity on the ship during the flight.
The crashed Soviet craft has a large letter "S" on its hull along with numbers. There is no "S" in the Cyrillic alphabet. It uses "C" for that consonant.
There is no time delay in communications between Mars and Earth.
The same stock NASA footage of a stage separation is used three times. First during the actual stage separation, then in reverse to depict the docking of the supply ship, and once again in reverse and zoomed in to depict the landing on Mars.
