During the multi-service conference where the Germans were trying to decide what Eddie's next mission should be, Baron Von Grunen reads an intelligence bulletin referring to reports of an army being formed in the Portsmouth area, "possibly to be commanded by General Patton". The Colonel General then comments "Identify this US Third Army...". In actuality the fake army Patton was supposed to be commanding was widely known as The First US Army Group (FUSAG) and was part of the disinformation campaign known as Operation Fortitude and was designed to make the Germans think the invasion would be at Calais. The Third Army wasn't a part of WWII combat operations until after the Normandy breakout when Patton assumed command.

After Eddie's first mission to England he is awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class by Field Marshal von Rundstedt, who then sends him to his tailor for a new uniform. In the next scene Eddie is shown wearing the Iron Cross 1st Class below the left pocket of his uniform tunic. The Iron Cross 2nd class was only displayed on a German uniform as a ribbon worn through a buttonhole (which Eddie also shows.) Also, the Iron Cross was a progressive award. To win the 1st Class he would first need the 2nd and then perform an additional act of valor. He should not be wearing the 1st Class award.
When discussing Eddie's next mission in the "Portsmouth area" one of the bomber bases they mention is "Lakenheath" which is located in Suffolk County far to the North of Portsmouth. In addition, at the time of this meeting, Lakenheath had been undergoing conversion for a planned deployment of B-29 Bombers which required a major overhaul that closed the base from May 1944 until after the end of the war.

During the interrogation of the Canadian 2 Lt following the Dieppe raid he gives his rank pronounced as "Lootenant". Canadians, like all other English-speaking soldiers in the world except for Americans, pronounce the rank as "Leftenant" despite the spelling. Although he is a 2 Lt it's not uncommon to shorten it to Lt on occasion.
