Weigh in with your take on the following topics after reading ours!
-------------------------------
1. What was your favorite quote or scene from the episode?
Eric: "Revenge is a dish best served serialized." ABC agrees.
Leigh: Can I just give the award to Georgina? Who is writing for her this season? She and Dan are cracking me up together.
Christina: Georgina: “Why is the handsome vacant one calling me?” Dan: “If you’re referring to Nate, he has a surprisingly high Iq.”
Courtney: Sage: "No one reads Gossip Girl anymore." She might be on to something.

Blair’s paranoia got the best of her once again on Gossip Girl. As the newly crowned head of her mother’s fashion empire, Blair was set on taking the industry by storm – with new fabrics and designs. Unfortunately, karma came back to bite her in the ass when ex-minion Nelly Yuki returned.
In “High Infidelity,” Blair was ready to unveil her new designs to the fashion world. She called back in two of her long-time minions to play the parts of her seamstress design team. Dorota re-modeled the Waldorf duplex suite to be Blair’s home office. Although her Paris team had cancelled on her at the last minute, Blair was in high spirits. She even went so far as to compliment Dorota, by saying the her maid had developed “taste.”
Then things went south when Yuki showed up. She was the reporter covering Blair’s new design. She was also Blair’s ex-minion.

Two down, eight to go. "Gossip Girl's" second episode of the final season, "High Infidelity," was a bit better than the premiere thanks to a surprising twist. Now, if you aren't quite up to speed, you can read the angsty tale of my love-hate relationship with "Gossip Girl" right here. Are you all caught up? Good. Let's get on with our weekly dose of grumpiness and blind hope.
"High Infidelity" tread some familiar ground, which was both fun (with the returns of Nelly Yuki and the minions) and really boring (with Serena and Nate jumping to absurd conclusions in their romantic lives). All in all, the biggest problem in the show continues to be Bart Bass. Unfortunately, he's dragging Chuck's storyline down with him.
Low: We still don't care about Bart Bass, or his money, or his various sexual partners, or his fake death. It's all too convoluted -- plus,...

Our Gossip Girl gang is growing up. Not necessarily maturing, but growing up.
Their transition into adulthood is a major theme of this sixth and final season, and tonight saw the five core characters - Dan, Serena, Nate, Blair and Chuck - establish what they want to achieve as individuals.
While last Monday's premiere brought the group back together again after the Season 5 finale scattered them, "High Infidelity" was an episode that set the stage for the remainder of the CW series.
For these aspiring publishers, writers, businessmen and women, the obstacles are formidable and the stakes higher than ever, both personally and professionally. Let's break it down by character:
Dan is finding it more challenging than expected to release his hard-hitting Inside sequel. Plenty of people would run it, but not in the way he feels would deliver the maximum, destructive impact.
With his sketchy literary agent in tow...

If there's anything we've learned from Gossip Girl in these last six seasons, it's that if someone appears to be too good to be true, that usually means they have one helluva dirty little secret. This sentiment was proven to us once again when Serena's (Blake Lively) seemingly perfect new beau Steven's (Barry Watson) secret was revealed in tonight's outing "High Infidelity," and boy, was it a good one! Plus, Blair (Leighton Meester) deals with the return of a former minion, and Chuck (Ed Westwick) continues to face off against his father Bart (Robert John Burke)... The Big Reveal: Nate's (Chace Crawford) latest ladylove Sage (Sofia Black-d'Elia) is Steven's...

Our favorite socialites return to the Upper East Side tonight while trying to recover from the craziness of summer. And even though the premiere episode was a great start to the final season, I think you'll enjoy tonight's festivities even more as the drama centers around yet another glamourous event.
Here are 5 mini-spoilers for the episode "High Infidelity"...
1. Serena is just as annoying and self-righteous as ever. While arguing with her new boyfriend, Matt Camden, she drops a William Shakespeare quote to help prove her lies aren't as bad as his. (Insert eye roll.)
2. Chuck thinks he's clever enlisting the help of his father's translator, Amira, to uncover the secrets behind Bart's fake death, but it turns out that Amira has a secret of her own.
3. Nate and Serena reconnect over their relationship woes and I gotta admit, it's nice seeing them share the screen again. Too bad it's soon...

The season 6 premiere of Gossip Girl focused on finding Serena (Blake Lively) and now that Serena has been found doing rather well for herself (under an assumed name), it is time to return to Manhattan. This includes Serena who will try to prove herself in adult society by hosting a philanthropic event.
Despite lying about who she is, new boyfriend Steven (Barry Watson) forgives Serena and wants to continue this relationship. Serena doesn't want to become the Serena we have seen countless times before and thinks that the best way to not fall back into old habits is to host a grand event (this logic makes sense somewhere). The event is for the Central Park Conservancy and Serena is the newest member on the board. This does mean that we will get to use an incredible location that overlooks Central Park and this is one thing that Gossip Girl has...

On Monday's all-new episode of Gossip Girl, Serena is determined not to fall back into old habits.
We've all heard that before, but will this time be any different for the Upper East Side It Girl?
Looking to make a new name for herself, S throws her first adult event in "High Infidelity," a benefit for the Central Park Conservancy. Executive producer Sara Goodman previews this and more in the video below.
Gossip Girl 'High Infidelity' Producer's Preview
By Serena's side is Steven, who appears to have a connection to Sage, who Nate is dating.
"Dating" is one word for it, anyway. Nate is also in need of a new journalistic bombshell, having punted his Gossip Girl expose, and is looking to revamp the Spectator by running Dan's serialized novel.
Will Georgina and Dan go for that? We see them deciding the best way to publish his epic...

Meanwhile, Dan lands meetings with publishers, but must decide if he is willing to sacrifice his integrity in order to get published, and Blair finds Nelly Yuki of all people standing in the way of her fashion line's growth.

Stephanie Savage, where have you been all these years?!
Gossip Girl returned for its sixth season tonight, and the premiere, written by Savage and co-executive producer Josh Schwartz, conjured up memories of the show's glory days, while setting the stage for this final chapter.
"Gone Maybe Gone," the first episode under new show-runner Sara Goodman and the first written by Savage since 2010, revived the entire series in 42 minutes and raised expectations for Gossip Girl going out on top.
If we're placing our bets, the next nine weeks look bright.
Ironically, Gossip Girl's decline over Seasons 4 and 5 may help produce the conclusion its fans are pininv for (if the show builds on the premiere, of course). With just 10 episodes to go, its focus has sharpened.
There's only one story arc remaining for each character, and it's going to be the best the producers can come up with. It might still disappoint,...

In a new sneak peek from the season premiere of Gossip Girl, we see the beginnings of the Chuck-Blair sex scene that's been teased in previous promos, followed by Dan and Georgina in Europe, brainstorming their next move.
Clearly, she's calling the shots.
When you enlist Georgina Sparks, you play by her rules. Technology means hackers, she notes, so she has secured an old school typewriter for Dan's latest literary masterpiece. Then she promptly tells him to start typing.

We've already seen the promotional photos - and posted some Gossip Girl season 6 spoilers - but now the CW has released the episode synopsis for the second installment of the season, "High Infidelity."
It reads:
Trying to prove herself in adult society, Serena hosts the Central Park Conservancy’s big gala, of which she is now the newest Board Member, and she and Nate both learn something shocking about their significant others. Blair prepares to debut her new fashion line, but a rival from her past holds the key to her future. With the help of Georgina, Dan lands some meetings with publishers, but he must decide if he is willing to sacrifice his integrity in order to get his work published. Meanwhile, Chuck tries to persuade Amira (guest star Andrea Gabriel) to help him look into his father’s past, even if it means jeopardizing Lily and Bart’s relationship.

At the end of the last season of Gossip Girl all was not well for Serena (Blake Lively) and with the season 6 premiere just around the corner, we do have some details that are likely to reassure fans of one of Gossip Girls favorite subjects (and also a one time Gossip Girl herself). This final season is set to show the characters growing up, but I'm sure we will see hijinks and scheming before the year is out.
