  Vera : Nonsense! Come on, hurry, and no television. You're going to bed.

  Mylda : I haven't finished watching television.

  Vera : You're going to bed. Mylda, be a good boy.

  Vera : Your arm just got numb. No wonder, if you keep holding it up like that.

• Josef - Verin manzel : I can't even have a little peace at home? When am I supposed to read the paper? I haven't had a spare minute the whole day.

  Vera : Don't get excited. When your work's finished it's finished. Mine's never done.

• Jirka - Verin milenec : What are you doing tomorrow?

  Vera : Tomorrow I simply haven't a minute.

  Jirka - Verin milenec : You always say the same thing. Before you used to manage it.

  Vera : So what do you think? To be here - you think it didn't take any managing? I wouldn't be here if I hadn't. It's terrible, I'm always managing something and it's always the same. Only now I've got more work.
