The pilot's terminology that Tweety uses throughout the cartoon (e.g. when he is reading from the "instruction manual" is more appropriate for propeller - driven aircraft than jets.
Tweety's jet cage has a trap door on the bottom, which would leave no room for the landing gear which is shown later when Tweety lands his cage.
Although Tweety's cage is supposed to be jet powered, the engine sound effects are those of a propeller-driven aircraft.
