At the time this film was made, David McCallum and Jill Ireland were husband and wife.
Thomas Gallagher (Terry's dad) and Brian Weske (Joe Lucas, who blackmails Terry) were both in the classic Film Noir 'Night And The City' starring Richard Widmark.
It seems like Brian Weske's blackmailing character Joe is the owner or perhaps an accountant or employee of the strip club since, when we first see him, he's facing away from the stage doing what looks like paperwork... when in fact (as is learned subtly) he's a customer who hangs around playing the "pools" (betting).
The actual title of the movie, shown within the movie's title, is 'Jungle Street' and not 'Jungle Street Girls' which doesn't make sense, being that the girls in the exotic dancing club are not important enough for the movie to be named after... only Jill Ireland's connection to both Kenneth Cope and David McCallum is important to the plot.
David McCallum's mannerisms are similar to that of movie legend James Dean... perhaps intentional being that he's a troubled young man, like Dean played.
