A good friend of Jack Benny and a regular performer on his radio and TV shows, Mel Blanc not only provided the sounds of Jack Benny's Maxwell, his automobile on the latter's radio show, but also such characters as Benny's continually flustered violin teacher, Professor LeBlanc, faux-Latino musician Cy, shy-guy Stanley Gropf, and the train station announcer who always said that the next train was leaving for "Anaheim, Azuza, and Cuc.....amonga."
Only animation performance of Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone,
Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson and Don Wilson.
The cartoon opened with Jack Benny, (dreaming that he was a mouse) practicing on the violin, but practicing was out of rhythm. Then lowered it, faced the audience and asked, "Who's this guy, Isaac Stern?", (as if they were rivals and dis-liked each other). In reality, Benny and Stern were two true and honest friends, to each other.
This cartoon marked the first time that Mel Blanc shared a voice credit in a Warner Brothers cartoon.
