Slow improvements

It is a relief that the use of the dramatic title music has been reduced drastically. The emphasis on realism reached a new height when the opening of the film showed a real piece of news coverage of the case to be shown, followed by a statement of a police commissioner explaining his role in the case and that TV series „Stahlnetz" asked for their support for the reenactment. How much more realistic could you get? Well, they even used four kids, the actual kids involved in the case to appear as themselves! While on the technical side this episode is certainly better made than the first episode, the story itself was not such a great thing. But to see how police work has been done when all you had was a telephone, volumes of files in paper and, thank god, a telex machine! Those were the days
