On its initial release, the standard co-feature with this movie was It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958).
Shot in six days.
Quintillus was created by veteran gorilla performer/creature creator/makeup artist Charles Gemora. Because they wanted Quintillus to be rather tall, stuntman/actor Bob Bryant was hired to perform inside the creature suit.
Passed by the British Board of Film Censors with an "X" certificate on 29 August 1958. Unusually for low budget horror, this movie enjoyed a three week run in London's West End. Opened at the London Pavilion on 3 October 1958 and shared the bill with It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958). Both films were generally released at normal prices on 9 November 1958.
It Was Actually Vic Perrin Who Did the Narration for this Film & Not Morris Ankrum as has been Erroneously Stated.
