Some nice animal scenes, but that's it

"Wer die Heimat liebt" is an Austrain drama movie from almost 60 years ago which runs slightly under 100 minutes. It is also known as "Das heilige Erbe" and it is the only directorial work by Alfred Solm and the last movie with Hermann Erhardt. Christl Erber, however, is still alive today. It is a typical harmony-mountain movie as there are quite a few of these. I found it confusing to really understand who is who sadly and the drama was also never edge-of-seat.

My favorite parts were probably the animal recordings of birds, deer and a lot more. They used the hunting plot as a basis for displaying these and at times it almost felt like a nature documentary about the Alps. You get what you can expect. Lots of green, but also snowy mountain landscapes, lots of harmony and family idyll. What you do not get unfortunately is a great movie. Not recommended.
