They keep talking about the wind and snow drifts, yet when they start their trek, there's no wind and no snowdrifts anywhere.
After the storm there are cleared trails and tracks in the farmyard. Hank arrives and talks about 10 foot drifts when he clearly walked up to the house quite easily.
It snows all night and into the morning. Then Hank arrives, walking toward the house over a path that has had many tracks previously made. But there have been NO other visitors to the house since the storm began, which even though it has been snowing steadily since the previous evening, has NOT covered over these previously made tracks.
Davy hold a lamp as Elizabeth prepares to cut the bullet out of Charlie's leg. Elizabeth asks Davy to come around her from her left side to her right side. Davy does so and the light from the lamp disappears as he goes behind Elizabeth. As he comes around to her right, he ends up positioned more to her right side than her front. Yet, the light floods on her left side even though her left side was positioned so that it should have been in her shadow.
The snow stops and the felons leave to make their way over the mountain and through very remote areas to the road. On this flight there are several scenes where one would think the freshly fallen snow should be untrodden. But nonetheless there has quite obviously been a lot of foot traffic on that snow (for example the heavily trampled snow outside the cabin to which Charlie carries Davy).
An eleven year old boy and three adults are at the cabin, Davey, his parents and the handyman, yet there are enough snow shoes for everyone.
When Fred goes to his room and listens to the others talking in the kitchen with his ear pressed to the closed door, a dark shadow moves to cover his left arm and shoulder even though he's alone in the room.
Charlie's henchman Benji tries several times to steal the stolen cash including pointing his pistol at Charlie and yet Charlie slaps him around and lets him carry on with his gun intact. That includes Benji knocking around his girlfriend Edna and his nephew (son) without consequence.
