  • A young boy goes to a wall to relieve himself. He starts to unbuckle his pants but his father calls him back. In the US version this scene is censored. The original Italian version shows him urinate against the wall.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some viewers may find the ending depressing even though the overall story is ultimately a parable.
  • While father and son are at a restaurant having a meal, the band sings a song intended to be comedic about a wife's infidelity with a black man.
  • The father slaps his son in a pivotal moment.
  • The main character is caught and threatened by a mob and the son witnesses.
  • Although some people might feel the overall tone of the movie is depressing or bleak, it's a story about integrity and a valuable lesson learned at the end.
