In the film, Jim Brandon is stopped by three outlaws. They are looking for evidence that Steele is carrying. He escapes and is chased by the three outlaws. A short time later, there are four riders after Steele. Still later in the chase, the outlaws are back to three.
When Jim Brandon (Bob Steele) asks the sheriff if he can have the bullet that murdered his partner, watch as Brandon places the bullet in his left shirt pocket before he leaves the sheriff's office. Shortly after he rides out of town and is stopped by three of the bad guys, the shirt he's wearing has no pockets. The same thing happens later in the story at Rankin's place - first no pocket, then after the fist fight, Brandon's shirt has pockets again.
