Edgar Buchanan plays Evelyn Keyes' father in this film, although he was only 13 years older than her.
Mel Brooks' spoof western Blazing Saddles (1974) character Mongo was likely based on Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams and his character Nitro Rankin from this film.
Although the title card bears a 1942 (MCMXLII) copyright statement, it was not released in the USA until May1943.
