Constance Selden : I'm... sorry I was *rude*, Mr. Folliard.
Trigger Bill Folliard : That's all right, sugar. I figured you wouldn't waste our time bein' insulted.
Constance Selden : The Major was right - you *are* a sharp man.
Trigger Bill Folliard : Uh-huh. You're a mighty sharp woman, too. That's why you wanna talk to me now, you figure to warm me up a little, so's I wouldn't bust up your play for Tom. You know, you and me oughta get along fine together, we're the same breed. I knew that as soon as I seen that black war paint on your eyelashes.
Constance Selden : I see you don't want to be friends with anyone, do you.
Trigger Bill Folliard : Nah, no... don't get huffed. We both of us know if I had four or five minutes to spare from business, I could have you crawlin' around my boots.
[she slaps him]
Trigger Bill Folliard : [he moves closer] You know, I figure you'll be good for Tom, toughen him up the way I will. You'll probably end up up with that *pious* galoot... and all the time down deep in your heart you'll know you've passed up a better man.
[Constance smirks at him and walks away]
