Arthur Q. Bryan voiced the character of Dan McFoo, using the same voice he later used for Elmer Fudd. This has led many to misidentify this cartoon as the first appearance of Elmer, when it is actually a completely different character.
Sara Berner, as the voice of Sue, impersonates Katharine Hepburn. At one point Sue's face dissolves into the face of a movie star: not Hepburn, but Bette Davis.
Most of the humor here was geared for adult cinema audiences, as animated shorts were shown as part of a movie show at the time. But there was plenty of slapstick silliness to satisfy the juvenile members.
The female character is a combination of popular film stars Katherine Hepburn (voice) and Bette Davis (features).
