Glenda Farrell and her regular stand-in, Frances Waverly, traveled to England for this film in late-February, 1937. They applied for passports together at the Los Angeles Federal Building on February 17th and began their journey ten days later. A different news story suggested that this was not a working trip for Waverly, who was instead traveling as Farrell's guest and companion.
Glenda Farrell had no idea what film she was making before she traveled to England to make this film. "I just deliver the body in London," she told a reporter.
