Most of the magazines in the store have the date "October 1946" on them, altered for the 1946 re-release in order to disguise the fact that the film was almost ten years old at the time.
Among the celebrities caricatured are 'Bob Bazooka Burns', Ted Lewis, Ned Sparks, Hugh Herbert, Leopold Stokowski, The Boswell Sisters (Connee Boswell, Martha Boswell, and Vet Boswell, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Warner Oland (as Charlie Chan), Johnny Weissmuller, Walter Winchell, William Powell (as The Thin Man) and Asta.
The "Screen Magazine" page with Hugh Herbert in cartoon form giggling and clapping his hands also shows a write-up listing two valid screen credits of his -- A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935) and Sing Me a Love Song (1936) -- as well as "The CooCoo Nut Grove" (1936), another cartoon in which he is caricatured.
