A funny Betty cartoon with Wiffle Piffle
Let me first tell you guys about the character in this cartoon. His name is Wiffle Piffle who had appeared in Fleischer's "Screen Song" cartoons. He also appeared in two Betty Boop - this one and "Whoops! I'm a Cowboy," where he goes to a dude-ranch to learn to be a cowboy to win Betty's heart. I like this cartoon, out of the two Betty cartoons Wiffle's in.
In this cartoon, Wiffle is an annoying door-to-door salesman, who shows Betty useless devices which lead to house destruction; much to Betty's dismay. I kind of thought Wiffle's a funny character, with his floppy walk and voice by Jack Mercer. Odd that they never use him again in future cartoons.
As I always point out in my reviews, I don't have any particular scene I like, because I love this cartoon from beginning to end. I though it was funny, and is all I could say. And again, despite the 9 out 10 rating, I still like this cartoon with Jack Mercer's dialogue humor.
