A title card gives the location as the Rue de la Houssaie, Paris. The correct spelling is Houssaye.
The old, confused countess, thinking she is in the presence of royalty, addresses a young man as "Your Majesty" and then leaves. However, if she believed the man to be the king, she would not leave, as etiquette demands that no one may leave the room before the king.
The old countess asks Napoleon to play "cards" with her, and they start to play, but she does not say, and he does not ask, what game they will play.
