Shock Theater with Joe Dante concludes at Trailers from Hell, with director and Tfh creator Dante introducing 1935's "The Black Room," starring Boris Karloff.A Karloff tour-de-force casts him as twin brothers under the thrall of a grim family curse. One of the most unjustly unheralded Golden Age horror films, it's seldom seen today but deserves a lot more recognition than it's gotten since it disappeared from the tv airwaves in the mid -70s. This cut-down reissue trailer hardly does it justice.

On this week's clip joint, Spoom does a double take on the best film clips featuring identical twins
Identical twins or "multiples" as I believe they're more correctly termed, in a slightly unsettling, Minority Report sort of way, hold – for me, at least – a unique fascination. Can you imagine having someone who looks exactly like you hanging around all the time?
Actors probably wouldn't mind though. Any actor who loves themselves – and, if we're being honest, that's probably the majority – would give their right arm to play identical twins. What better way is there to show your range, your sheer, awards-worth versatility, than appearing as two different people in the same movie? Plus: double screen time! You do the maths.
No wonder they've proved popular fodder for the cinema, then – as Matt Lucas's Tweedledum and Tweedledee double-act in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland reminds us. So in honour...

Oh, diabolical duplicity! There are abominations out there in the world; twisted hive minds dually cast in humanizing flesh and blood. Society would have us believe them harmless, perhaps even friendly. Science might even agree. Film, however, has shown us the facts of the case. These dastardly duos, these insidious inseparables, these twins, as they are colloquially called, they are out there in the world, waiting, scheming, and conniving your imminent and bloody destruction!
Evil twins want to destroy the world!
You may know a pair of twins or two. I have. They might seem like wonderful and relatively normal people. But the fact remains there is filmic evidence that they are all, in fact, very, very bad people who are prone to insanity, vampirism, possession, and Satan worship. I will now bring you seven examples that should persuade even the mothers of these beings; seven horrific films featuring, or...
