This movie was banned from public viewing by the Swedish Censorship board in September 1933. Swedish censorship number 49.580. The original importer was Svensk Filmindustri. Many years later another importer Regent, managed to get this movie through the Swedish Censorship board with a cut version (circa 100 meters) and a new Censorship number 72.499, so it got a very belated premiere in Sweden.
The film was removed from circulation in the town of Liege, Belgium and was subject to a court case in the French town of Valenciennes, after complaints from a Catholic federation there.
