One of over 100 Columbia features, mostly Westerns, sold to Hygo Television Films in the 1950s, which marketed them under the name of Gail Pictures; opening credits were redesigned, with some titles misspelled, the credit order of the players rearranged, some names misspelled, and new end titles attached, thus eliminating any evidence of their Columbia roots. Apparently the original material was not retained in most of the cases, and the films have survived, even in the Sony library, only with these haphazardly created replacement opening and end credits. In this film's case, Hygo didn't even get the title right! They call it 'Range Fued'.
This film's earliest documented telecast took place in Fairbanks AL Friday 23 December 1955 on KFAR (Channel 2); it first aired in Canada in Windsor ON Friday 27 January 1956 on CKLW (Channel 9), in Lancaster PA Saturday 25 February 1956 on WGAL (Channel 8) and in New York City Friday 6 July 1956 on WATV (Channel 13).
