No secret that here at 24fps we’re a complete sucka for a creature feature with a dodgy premise. So its great news that Russell (Resident Evil: Extinction) Mulcahy’s, Aussie horror, Bait, has just secured its final funding and is now heading in production. You’d have thought a movie about a tidal disaster, flooded shopping malls and killer Sharks would be enough to be going on with. But no. In Bait, Mulcahy has also decided to throw the added peril of a deranged murderer into the mix. It all sounds quite bonkers and there’s no way yet to tell which way it could go. Shot in the Gold Coast of Australia, Bait 3-D is now completed, but when will the film release? At this point, the release date of the film is too hard to tell. To be distributed through Darclight Films, Bait 3-D does have a trailer, but the clip is currently only available for film buyers. However, the first movie poster for the film can be seen here with a synopsis below. The movie has not announced the cast; yet, director Russell Mulcahy (Resident Evil: Extinction) will helm the project.
