This was Laurel & Hardy's last silent film for producer Hal Roach.
One of the earlier instances of Laurel and Hardy working with a named animal. They later worked with Laughing Gravy the dog, Dinah the mule, MGM the lion, Narcissus the goat, and several others. Charles Gemora, in his gorilla suit, also played Ethel the chimp.
This film was released in Argentina in 1930 after some talkies by Laurel and Hardy (either in Spanish or English) were shown. The original MGM titles were replaced with Spanish language equivalents and the title was translated to "Amor de Angora".
The goat's name is Penelope.
