Footage of crew members in a violent storm on the ship were lifted from this silent film and reused in the early talkie Dracula (1931) to represent his voyage to England. Projected at the faster sound film speed of 24 frames per second, this accounts for the jerky, sped-up appearance of the footage in "Dracula" when cobbled together with new footage of Bela Lugosi and Dwight Frye.
Debut of actress Nina Romano.
