Next morning Schirmflicker is gone and Korber follows his Buddy's path and finds him frozen in the snow, close to the border stone between two tiny villages Vorder- and Hinterau. Since no village wants to pay the funeral for the tramp, his body is moved over the border to each village several times, until a testament is found, with an amount of 1000 Swiss Francs for a Christian funeral and a big feast dinner for the mourning guests.
