So while Colt and Kay try to flush her out, her accomplice, who is also on the same ship learns she is on the ship wants the jewels so he sets out to find her.

- McCormick's former cell mate who's on parole is informed by his parole officer that because of a violation which wasn't his fault, he could be sent back to prison. That's when the parole officer tells him there's a way out--that he should pay him $1000 a week, and he doesn't care how he gets it. When McCormick and Hardcastle go to play cards with some other judges, the guy robs them and McCormick knows he did it. Later McCormick tells Hardcastle about his friend and that he has been staying with him. When they go home they discover that they've been robbed. McCormick knows that his friend wouldn't have done it unless he had a good reason. They go see the parole officer and McCormick gets a weird vibe off the guy and notices he has something that looks like something that was at Hardcastle's. Later one the judges who was robbed issues a warrant for McCormick because he found out who robbed them and his link to McCormick. So Hardcastle has to try and prove McCormick's innocence or he'll go back to prison a three time loser.
- On a romantic getaway, Jennifer meets the fiancé of a former journalism student, who recently committed suicide. Jennifer and Jonathan come to the conclusion that the death was murder, and get caught up in preventing another - Jennifer's.
- David accidentally befriends a depressed Rock star called Lisa Swan who is being dominated by her manager/sister.
- Ellie is enlisted by the prosecution in a murder trial while Harry goes to work for the defense attorney who has trouble believing their defendant didn't commit the crime.
- Late one night, Joe Mannix is surprised by Gen. Alec Holt, his former commanding officer in Korea, now a good friend and vice-president of Coronet Electronics. He tells Mannix that he is being blackmailed by a photographer who has pictures of him in a compromising position, and gives Mannix $10,000 to buy the film. Mannix makes the exchange but then is jumped by two thugs. Although he manages to escape, a return visit from the two thugs and Gen. Holt's refusal to explain why the two men want the film leads Mannix to believe that the case involves more than evidence of an extramarital affair.
