At the end Jule gets a big surprise, Blecki and Töteberg dance together with Ösker and Bine Pufal and the whole village. The perpetrator is convicted and - oh wonder - the Christmas skeptic Hauke Jacobs presents the children as Santa Claus.
- Andreas Brose, better known in Schwanitz as "Andy from next door", is a tree made by one man and gifted with craftsmanship. So he repairs Hauke's broken boat engine and helps Hannah renovate her new house. Andy's mind, heart and instinct are more like a child's. When Andy finds his foster father Cem Brose dead, he is suspected of murder based on a testimony. Hauke and Hannah find out that Andy's adoptive father Cem Brose was once a treasure hunter. Could the murder have anything to do with a stolen diamond? The investigation leads to a second fatality and then Andy disappeared.
- Hauke Jacobs is pushed to the extreme as an investigator by colleague Hannah Wagner, while Jule Christiansen is primarily concerned about her ailing father. A chance reunion with the Kiel police officer Jost Striesow leads Hannah to call her ex-colleague Lasse, with whom she once had an affair. It comes to light that Striesow was apparently lubricated by a powerful Kiel drug ring and is now on the run. He is said to have kidnapped a girl to prevent her from testifying in a criminal trial. Hauke and Hannah immediately start looking for the girl. They get support from Kiel: Lasse and his colleague Nina come to Schwanitz. But Hauke is skeptical about the two. Who can he really trust? And Hauke's jealousy of Lasse isn't exactly helping the investigation either. When the kidnapped girl is able to free herself and seeks protection from Jule's father Dirk of all people, everyone is in great danger.
- Not only as a commissioner, but also as a veterinarian and animal rescuer, Hauke Jacobs has to give everything to solve several cases at once. A lead in the murder investigation into the death of informer Frank Schuster leads Hauke and Hannah to Kai Schwarz's local kennel. Meanwhile, Jule has to operate on Herbert Winter's bitch in the Jacobs-Christiansen group practice. The animal had apparently eaten deadly bait. Jule and Winter are looking for clues as to who might have set the bait. Jule has a suspicion. Hauke and Hannah examine the kennel. The main concern there is probably not the welfare of the animals, but rather the camouflage of an illegal transhipment point. The investigation uncovers a perfidious system. Extremely expensive and not yet approved cancer drugs are apparently smuggled from Poland to Germany - in the stomachs of the animals and at their own risk. A whole pack of dogs is currently on the move and in great danger of death.

- Hauke Jacobs und Hannah Wagner bekommen es diesmal mit echten Schwerverbrechern zu tun. Während ihres Transports gelingt vier Strafgefangenen die Flucht (dargestellt von Roman Knizka, Tino Führer, Konstantin Lindhorst und Vincent Leittersdorf). Ihr Plan: unerkannt in Schwanitz untertauchen und sich dann mit der Abendfähre absetzen. Als sie in ein Haus einbrechen, um sich mit neuer Kleidung auszustatten, kommt es zum Schusswechsel mit dem Bewohner. Dieser stirbt, einer der Flüchtigen wird verletzt. Die Häftlinge nehmen Jule Christiansen, die ärztliche Hilfe leistet, und ihre Praktikantin Lea (Carolin Garnier) als Geiseln, ohne dass das jemand im Dorf merken darf. Eine schwierige Situation für Hauke und Hannah, die den Gangstern auf die Schliche kommen, aber Jule und die Praktikantin Lea nicht in Lebensgefahr bringen dürfen.

Kaum haben Hildegard Knutzen (Marion Kracht) und Jutta Weinert (Katja Danowski) mit Töteberg auf ihren verblichenen Mitspieler angestoßen, rast ein Wagen ungebremst in Tötebergs Garten. Der angeschossene Fahrer lebt gerade noch lange genug, um den dreien mitzuteilen, dass sich in seinem Kofferraum eine Menge Geld befindet. Ein rätselhaftes Geschehen, das komplizierte Ermittlungen und weitreichende Verwicklungen für Kommissarin Hannah Wagner nach sich zieht. Zudem suchen Hauke Jakobs und Jule Christiansen parallel auch noch nach einer geeigneten Unterstützung für die Tierarztpraxis .
- Twelve-year-old orphan Paula accidentally witnesses a shootout in which a woman is killed. Because she was seen, Paula has to fear for her life. But the girl doesn't dare to go to the police because the two perpetrators have disguised themselves as police officers. When the woman's body is found on the Schwanitz coastline, she has nothing with her except a note with the words "Goblin Number Four". A big mystery for Hauke Jacobs and Hannah Wagner, which doesn't get any less unusual. The woman's name and origin cannot be determined and apparently no one misses her.
- Lothar Müller, often called "Lottchen" by friends, is a popular sales representative who travels a lot. But one day he doesn't come home. Hauke Jacobs and Hannah Wagner take action immediately after receiving the missing person report. In fact, Lothar Müller's body is found on the coast - in Travemünde. He was murdered. As his wife Susanne and his daughter Anna learn in horror, "Lottchen" existed twice: once as a father in Schwanitz - and once as a father in Travemünde, where he and Lisa have their son Finn. And with it a complete second existence.

Und der Kampf zwischen Tomke und ihm ist ein Kampf darum, wer von beiden wieder ins Leben zurückkehren darf.
- Retired city cop Hauke Jacobs starts a new career as veterinarian in Ostsee small port town Schwanitz, where he bough a home boat. The only local vet dies from a suicidal car-dive in the canal before Hauke's eyes at arrival, despite local 'chief' cop Lona Vogt after him. So unconventional, in-living practice assistant Jule Christiansen is hired as Hauke takes over the patients. Beach-strolling, Jacob discovers a stranded fishing boat, aboard of which are parrot Käpt'n Hook and two corpses, the first in the (Lübeck) area in decades. Drowning in inexperience, Vogt commandeers reluctant Hauke's expertise. The case turns international: two Latvian ferry passengers are reported missing, in fact au pair-girls tracked down by human traffickers Matthias Keller and Viktors Berzins and hiding with local widower farmer Thorsten Riemann, being observed by Turkish tramp Mehmet Ösker.
- Veterinarian and ex-Hamburg cop Hauke Jacobs refuses to believe his practice town Schwanitz's legend that as every seven year, medieval raider Viking captain Sven rises from his sea grave to kill two people, but on Baltic peninsula Priwall every one shivers anyway. Local Selchow is found in bed, drowned, so constable Lona Vogt and Hauke's assistant Jule Christiansen superstitiously blame wild Sen, whom fisherman drowned about 10 years ago. While Jacobs and Vogt search for the real, modern killer, his past as key witness in a mob trial requiring witness protection reaches the sleepy harbor town, involving Turks and a maritime smuggling scheme but also a dark personal grudge secret about the Lutheran minster's daughter, whose abuse-murdered daughter Agnes was deemed a previous Sven victim.

- Hauke Jacobs's vet practice wins the municipal social projects prize for assistant Jule Christiansen's neglected animals 'mercy garden', but she feels neglected by Hauke, who ignores her romantic interest and eagerly invites to his home boat ex Sandy de Man, who cook for the pair and hopes to lure him away. Her arrival 'coincides' with the crimes of two fake beat cops, actually drug trade thugs from Hamburg, who terrorize locals, including a gambling-debts-bound farmer accomplice. Hauke and constable Lona Voigt tie their trails together.
