Bei ihren Ermittlungen stoßen die Beamten auf schwere Spannungen zwischen den Mitgliedern der Familie Cordes. Frau Cordes ist kurz zuvor nach langer Krankheit gestorben. Die Ehe des Sohnes Jan mit Betsy steht vor dem Ruin. Hans Fürst, der Bruder der Toten, hat als Arzt diese behandelt und auch den Totenschein ausgestellt. Hat sein Verschwinden oder sein Tod damit etwas zu tun ? Und welches Geheimnis verbirgt die Familie Cordes? Als sie sich der beruflichen Karriere Fürsts beschäftigen, erkennen Hinrichs und Diekmann, daß Fürst drogensüchtig war und sich in letzter Zeit mit der Jakob-Kreuzfeld-Krankheit beschäftigt hat. Ist Frau Cordes etwa daran gestorben und hat Fürst das verschwiegen, um den Bauernhof von Cordes zu schützen ? Mußte Fürst deswegen sterben ? Und existiert wirklich BSE in diesem Dorf? Während die Beamten die Exhumierung der Leiche beantragen, werden die Spannungen in der Familie Cordes unerträglich. Nach einem Streit mit Jan und Hans, läuft Betsy fort. Am nächsten Morgen findet man Hans Cordes erschlagen in einem Boot auf dem nahegelegenen See. Während Hinrich glaubt, Betsy habe ihn umgebracht, hält Hinrichs Frau, eine alte Freundin Betsys, diese für unschuldig und stellt die Frage, ob denn Fürst wirklich tot sei. Mittlerweile findet Betsy Anzeichen dafür,daß Hans Fürst noch lebt. Immerhin waren sie ein Liebespaar, das abhauen wollte, irgendwohin. Sie versucht, ihn in dem Hotel zu finden, wo sie einst ihre Nächte verbrachten. Auch Hinrich findet Hinweise darauf, daß Fürst noch lebt. Als Betsy in dem Hotel schließlich Fürst findet, erzählt dieser ihr, der Unfall war ein Zufall, er habe jedoch die Chance gesehen, zu verschwinden. Hans Cordes habe ihm geholfen und ihn auf eine Insel im See gebracht und ihn dort mit Medikamenten für seinen Alkoholentzug versorgt. Mit Cordes sei es zu einem Streit gekommen, woraufhin dieser zu Tode gekommen sei. Hinrichs kommt zu der Erkenntnis, daß Fürst seiner Schwester Sterbehilfe geleistet hat, und deshalb nicht zulassen konnte, daß Cordes dies weitergibt. Lebt er also doch und wenn ja, hat er dann Cordes umgebracht? Als Hinrich und Diekmann Betsy im Hotel finden, ist Fürst weg und Betsy halbtot, vergiftet mit Medikamenten. Doch sie überlebt und Hans Fürst kann am Flughafen festgenommen werden, wo er einen Selbstmordversuch unternimmt, aber an seiner Feigheit scheitert. Wie immer kommen in dieser Tatort-Folge mit Hinrich und Diekmann auch soap-ähnliche Nebenhandlungen vor: Diekmann hat sich einen Sportwagen gekauft, Hinrich lernt viel über BSE, kann sich aber nicht vorstellen, daß das gute Fleisch des Metzgers von nebenan damit infiziert sein könnte. Ach ja: Frau Cordes hatte doch kein Jakob-Kreuzfeld, wäre ja auch etwas zuviel des Guten.

Not only does it risk her job as a commissioner, she also becomes a target.
- König keeps passing an abandoned car on the way to work, so she has it towed to the scrapyard where a corpse is found in the trunk. The deceased may have been a blackmailer. Bukow presses König as to when her investigation of him will be over.

Bukow & Konig are determined to out Geiger, despite admonishments from their kowtowed bosses, while saving the life of its prime target, Brückmann.

His trust in his colleague has been shaken, and a scandal breaks out between the two of them. But Adam knows that he cannot do without Olga in this case. The young perpetrator, whose identity and motive are initially unknown, is fleeting. She appears to be extremely violent and dangerous. When the getaway car is found, there is a first clue that leads to the identity of the perpetrator: It is Louisa Bronski, who was released from prison on the morning of the crime after serving a two-year prison term. The only person Lenski and Raczek can interview is their mother, Nicole Bronski, who had no contact with her daughter during her prison sentence. One of the few people who have visited Louisa in prison is a lawyer named Hannwacker, whom Olga Lenski seeks to find out where the fugitive could be. But Olga does not return from the questioning and Adam and his colleagues are seriously worried because she does not respond to their calls either. When the police find the lawyer seriously injured with a gunshot wound in his office, it is clear that Olga Lenski is in danger.

But on his search for the truth, the partner of the dead woman, the transsexual dancer Almandine Winter, becomes his companion in the risky search.

Olaf, Silke and Rainer contradict each other, they try to cover something up. The investigators get deeper and deeper into the bizarre, lying swamp of drinkers. But what really happened that night three months ago?

Der erste am Fundort der Leiche ist ein Polizist aus dem nahegelegenen Revier in Lebus, Karl Rogov, der sofort die Befragung der Pilger übernimmt. Für Kriminalhauptkommissar Vincent Ross kommt diese Unterstützung sehr gelegen. Es stellt sich heraus, dass Mazur massive finanzielle Probleme hatte und ihm ein Insolvenzverfahren bevorstand. Seine Frau Lina und sein Vater Klaudiusz berichten von dem enormen Druck, den Insolvenzverwalter Udo Schick und sein Schuldenberater Jonathan Hüter auf ihn ausgeübt haben sollen. Als herauskommt, dass der Insolvenzverwalter seine Tochter Maria Schick auf dem Pilgerweg, kurz vor dem Tod von Antoni Mazur, abgefangen hat, gerät er unter Tatverdacht: Was weiß der "Gott des Bankrotts"?

Melly Böwes Einstand im Revier wird trotz Kuchenbrötchen nicht gemütlich, denn auch auf dem Kommissariat gibt es Reibungspunkte rund um Geschlechterbilder. Wie lebt es sich für Röder, Thiesler und Pöschel mit zwei Frauen an der Spitze? Und wie gehen die beiden Frauen miteinander um? Thiesler prophezeit einen Zickenkrieg, aber König und Böwe zeigen, dass es ganz anders gehen kann. Währenddessen kämpft Daniel um sein selbstbestimmtes Outing, aber auch um seine große Liebe Hanna. Und er ringt mit seinem eigenen Verantwortungsgefühl und seinem schlechten Gewissen. Als er auf Marc Wigand trifft, Nathalies ehemaligen Kinderfreund, glaubt Daniel aus seinem Dilemma erlöst zu sein: Er kann den Täter präsentieren und seine Identität schützen.

- Deutsche und polnische Polizeibehörden intensivieren ihre Zusammenarbeit, um der grassierenden Grenzkriminalität Herr zu werden. Wachtmeisterin Kateryna Ludwinek geht im Rahmen eines Austauschprogramms von Slubice nach Frankfurt an der Oder. Drei Wochen lang fährt sie zusammen mit ihrem Brandenburgischen Kollegen Udo Lehde Zivilstreife. Der Versuch einen mutmaßlichen Autoschieber im Alleingang festzunehmen endet für die junge Polizistin tödlich. Sie prallt mit ihrem Fahrzeug auf einen zweieinhalb Tonnen schweren Geländewagen, dessen Fahrer zuvor eine Vollbremsung eingeleitet hatte. Für das deutsch-polnische Ermittlerduo Olga Lenski und Adam Raczek ist an dem Fall zunächst nichts Rätselhaftes. Es scheint nur noch darum zu gehen, die Identität des flüchtigen Täters zu ermitteln und den Mann zu fassen. Aber dann mehren sich die Fragen. Wieso war Ludwinek bei der Verfolgung des verdächtigen Fahrzeugs allein im Wagen? Warum saß ihr Streifenführer nicht hinter dem Steuer? Und warum hält der einzige Zeuge des Crashs wichtige Informationen zurück.
- Der überkorrekte Beamte Hinrichs hat einen neuen Partner: den alten verschrobenen Kommissar Groth. Schon auf der Fahrt aufs Land zu ihrem nächsten Einsatz, hält Hinrichs Vorträge über moderne Polizeiarbeit, worauf Groth gar nicht weiter eingeht. Die Beiden sollen einen Fall von Viehdiebstahl untersuchen: Scheinbar hat hier eine gut organisierte Bande ihre Finger im Spiel. Die Ermittlungen im Dorf gestalten sich als schwierig, dann kommt es auch noch zum Selbstmord eines Bauern, der nach dem Diebstahl seiner Rinder vor dem Aus steht. Hinrichs und Groth lernen das Dorfleben kennen und Hinrichs muß erkennen, daß Groth den besseren Draht zu den Menschen hat, was dann auch zu einer ersten Spur führt. Als die Bauern die Bande dann schnappt, wil sie sie lynchen, was Groth und Hinrichs aber verhindern können. Doch wie ein Mitglied der Bande, der nur aus finanzieller Sorge um seine Familie mitgeholfen hat, weiß: Die Großen kommen doch davon. Während der Krimihandlung schnell die Spannung ausgeht, kann der Film doch mit guten Darstellern, klugen Charakterzeichnungen und einer präzisen Milieustudie überzeugen; weniger als Krimi, mehr als Tragikkomödie über den Alltag auf dem Land.

Security camera recordings and cellphone records should help unveil the suspects' lies, but more complications are found, concerning families and club staff, and another violent attack occurs.
