Dominik does a stake-out to catch the person who 'borrowed' Sander's van and affixed fake number plates.
- Owner Marion Vogel was skull-smashed near the 'haunted' house 'Nr. 7' she recently inherited from an aunt, which become bitterly contested after she decided to raise the rent to finance luxury renovations, contrary to the aunt' wishes to keep all tenants, who refuse to be ousted. Captain Bauer's team must untangle a web of lies, deceit, jealousy and conflicts, including an alternative ownership claim, leading to a bitter and explosive finale strife.

Doc Weissenböck finds he recently ate prime Wagyu-beef, against his teachings, which contains the rare toxin of Japanese blow-fish. His enemies include Markus Derflinger's near-ruined neighboring grazer beef restaurant "Ochsenwirt", a militant animal liberation group capable of violence and Beck's overshadowed mentor Valentin Mussek, whom the station didn't even pay for the original program format. the team also finds secret links.

The elderly neighbors Jörn and Helga Stiegler hide how badly the rock noise hurt him with a medical condition.
- Sophie Quernheim (17) was murdered in exactly the same way as Andrea Mahler at that age 33 years earlier, when sole suspect Sophie's father, Lutz Quernheim, was acquitted for lack of proof. Theo decides to quit and move to Italy.
- A month after Maja Kundera's murder, no killer was arrested. Widower Milos Kundera is convinced her employer, Peter Bellow, did it, but he has an alibi. Kundera kidnapped his wife Sandra Bellow to a secret location, threatening to let her die unless peter confesses on police video. he agrees, assured such blackmail won't hold in court, but Milos isn't satisfied without verifiable proof, to which end he keeps changing he rules, and another uneasy surprise is in store.

Kai Schenker (21), son of resigned cop Martin Schenker, Arthur's former colleague, is identified and runs. The video isn't conclusive but shows Thu was armed with knife, the murder weapon missing and the victim's family's role and that of friendly landlord Joseph Böhnisch remains to be clarified.

The hand is identified by its wedding ring as Tina Schreiber's recently missing husband Josef, she too claims utter surprise. Josef spent his last evening in Brit Baumbichler's inn, dining with local farmers, and was leaning heavy on them to buy his employer's products, based on dubiously patent-protected natural organisms. DNA tests also find a secret paternity.

His partner Thomas Perlinger sold major, senior clients "Robotics funds" immobilizing their capital for 30 years, exceeding their life expectancy, without pointing out this 'small print' clause. Victims include a stat attorney and eccentric Magdalena von Trenkler, who confronted Kossmann only to learn he ignored the practice. The team also looks into Perlinger's wife Moni, who wanted to break up, and Munich's socialite charity-queen Lotte von Springe.

- While family animal funerary firm "Samtpfoten-Trauer" buries a golden retriever, their own 'artistic' employee Erika Kühnle's corpse is found in the casket, which wasn't meant to be open. The stylist was a cousin of manager Brigitte Huber, who runs its since widowed with adult kids Jan and Daniela. The team learns about fraudulent practices from a disgruntled client and Erika's friend Karl Marsmann. Pet dissection also puts them on the trail of suspiciously frequent pet deaths by rat poison.

The team focuses on staff, patients and victim family. Meanwhile Franz Ainfachnur must get recruited in a box gym where Dr. Kreiner needs an undercover in a conspiracy case.

Jacob's colleagues and other patients despised him as a haughty asshole, even fresh widow Ortrun Jacob duly doubted his fidelity, being 'loberal' with all woman. Deputy hospital chief Dr. Rainer Behm inherits his position and intended to legally contend his dismissal from their revolutionary surgery project for bionic eye repair, just before the authorities were to allow tests, which he started with already. Forensics concludes the shooter was a pro, the bullet trails to Lutz Ischinger, never convicted for suspected hits in other Geran states. Someone else is proven no less traitorous.

Munich councilman Wegner-Müller, her former lover, denies having remained her protector against political logic. Insignificant daughter and her sleazy lover Thomas Kelling hide their part.
- Bankruptcy manager Dr. Stelter survives a shootist's attack, unlike his body guard Gerrit Blum. Stelter received repeated death threats while liquidating a distribution company, which costs many jobs, yielding suspects, especially Dusan Matic, whose ability to follow up on threats is doubted by the team. Looking into Stelter's and Blum's private life proves interesting, especially on account on a Kosovo-Serbian past which isn't actually closed.
- Wearing make up fitting her disguise hobby club's "zombie run" in the forest, Berit Carstens is found killed for real. She and boyfriend Till Ruperti were into everything related to horror, murder games and bloodshed, especially unsolved serial murders. They found a lead concerning Gunther Plate, who was cleared 15 years ago from a staged suicide charge. Berit and Till's meticulous research makes his suspect for two murders on young women. The team gets brilliantly intimidated Cosima Wüsthoff to recant her false confession clearing him and starts suspecting the forensic psychologist Christoph Eckstein of deliberately falsely analyzing testimonies.
- Rising tennis player Stefka Weigand was fatally spiked on a monument in a park just after a key match to aboard an international career. - Commissioner Bauer initially ignores e-mails with stranger pictures, with a tile marked, until it turns out that's when they become victims of crimes like poisoning and abduction. The team races to identify the people and link them to him and the fiend, presumably after revenge for a conviction, but that's a long list, including paroled Andrej Sukow and Max Fleischhauer. Bauer checks on former childhood kidnap victim Adam Klein, who never recovered psychologically, reported dead by his elder brother Tom. Bauer's next mail says his missing detective Katharina Hahn is to die at noon.
- Fire woman Nicole Albrecht makes a fatal fall in the watch tower, no suicide. Doc Weissenböck finds Nicole a well-operated transgender. Einst Nicolas's former best friend, colleague Paul Lanninger, denies having bullied her. Elderly transgender-activist Dorit Michalke was jealous of Nicole's handsome boyfriend Patrick Weiser. To move in with him, she planed to leave supportive wife Irmi. Teen son Alexander isn't very cooperative, having been bullied over his 'ex-dad', and was seen near the fire station with bad mates around the crime time.
- Steffen Kurz was beaten to death, his corpse burnt and charcoal-burnt with his car. He belonged to an empowerment therapy group for men, that evening on their spiritual forest camp. Suspects are thus participants Dr. Markus Lamprecht, Osman Gülpek, Eric Bender and therapist Heiner Feldmann. Each had a possible motive, none confesses or points. To overcome their pact of silence, captain Arthur Bauer joins undercover, posing as retired cop who seems a match for Dominik Morgenstern, who seems to lead the investigation.

Wheelchair-stuck teen patient Sebastian Trummer's mother Maja lost a lawsuit for alleged surgery errors, her fingerprints are on the murder weapon, a metal drip standard. Another suspicious patient's spouse, Walter Schick, made observations turning junior surgeon Dr. Helen Marquard into a suspect, having falsified medical records enabling Dr. Offner to avoid due conviction. The death of patient Thea Schick and systematic hygiene flaws also make hospital chief professor Carl Sydlow a suspect.

- Two days before captain Arthur's obligatory pensioning, Dominik finds himself forced to fatally shoot pursued kidnapper Johannes Hofer, who aimed at him, but as I.A. investigates it turns out he actually committed "Suicide by cop", so Diminik is formally suspended, with a further theory he lost control being stressed by teammate Teresa Schwaiger, which he has a crush on, having kept only from him she's about to transfer to a Hamburg job. What seems jealousy over an unfaithful girl friend complicates, as Hofer has a Neonazi twin brother Sebastian. Somehowit all links to the Bernheimer cleaning company, specialist in event infrastructure, which uses illegal immigrants and so on through a dummy daughter firm. Arthur is suspended too for trying to help Dominik 'not by the book'. Taking foolish rusks, Terese gets captured as part of a terrorist plot.

Furthermore they look into Neudeck's firm and family and the monastery, especially the seminar leader, brother Paul.
- After her hen night in Pink Princess Club, bride Michelle Stein, lies on a dark road outside, fatally run-over. The groom Maximilian Vogt's mistrusting sister Nathalie discloses she was pregnant from another man, withholding details about their past. The biological father ignored his baby, but never gave up hope to win her and doc Weissenböck proves the engagement ring Michelle wore wasn't Max's, her past proves key.
- Playing in the front garden, Henry (six) is abducted. His stepfather Dr. Jürgen Simmering got rich publishing against vaccination. Henry's biological father, Nico Gerber, lost custody to the crook and Henry's mother, Greta Simmering, who refused to let the boy be vaccinated. The abductor makes demands to expose and spoil Jürgen of his dubiously gotten gains, which he's most reluctant to follow, even sabotages. The team frantically searches for the boy and a disgruntled victim of non-vaccination.
- During the 'Oktoberfest' (beer festival), attending blogger Michael Stadler (31) is found fatally stabbed at the central railway station. A security video footage shows the killer in action, not his face. Stadler's colleague Laura Funkel stresses Michael's latest blog story started a scandal concerning allegedly corrupt municipal attribution of sought-after 'guest' tent on the festival ground 'Wiesnzelt'. Publican Wiesnwirt Johann Beierlein lost his spot in the affair, as a mysterious mailbox-message shows. Odd waiter Xaver Spieß's hunting knife was used for the crime, but the team also suspects parts played by adjudication committee chair Johanna Pfeiffer and winning publican Nico Esswein, so they look for links, while footage and attire study proves interesting.
- Dr. Maximilian Weissenböck is a formal suspect for the fatal nocturnal shooting, while he was drunk in bed with fellow member Isabel 'Isi' Wenninger, also on site, of Alois Gruber, the patriarchal president of the Münich Wild-West enactment club, but suffered a total blackout. Gruber's mailbox recorded Doc challenging him to a duel with Gruber, who repeatedly bothered Isi. While even honest doc desperately starts questioning his own sanity, forensics show he was drugged and he checks out his own theories.

The team look into his plot neighbors, whom he hassled as 'Heckenpolizist' (society rules supervisor), notably Bruno Kaiser and Konrad Tauber, whose wife Sofie had an affair with Bachmann. Penniless student Felix Reiter lived secretly -against the rules- in his recovering grandmother's plot cabin, and smells a blackmail opportunity. Blood traces lead to another secret, about an injured illegal construction laborer bleeding to death after a site saw accident.
- Pillar biter widow Maria Brandner was dumped in the cemetery well, but alive after a battering nearby. The sleepy peasant town Garming's mayor Maxi Oberpaur plans a whole center to cater for the tourism boom since Asian Catholics flock to the allegedly miraculously repainted Madonna icon. Son Florian Brandner runs an ailing souvenir shop, and ignored her recent Lourdes-pilgrimage, paid by the mayor, followed on a terminal cancer diagnosis. The curate, Laurenz Huberschmidt, knew she actually 'restored' the Madonna, and hides an even bigger secret, which the team guesses clued by the mad woman who dwells around the cemetery.
- On a park lot is found the corpse of neighborhood security agent Tobias Schaller in his uniform of retired police officer. Unlike his predecessor; pensioned-off popular Armin Taube, Schaller didn't connect with the residents in his five months of service, being reputed an unreasonable nit-picker. Workshop owner Hartinger and Macedonian immigrant Adem Nikloski (exploited a day laborer by mobster Ivo Vasic) had conflicts with Schaller, and he found out his wife Eva's affair with the father of their daughter's schoolmate.
- Paul Spor finds his husband Ludger Freimuth beaten to death on village Wolfkirchen's popular public grill site, neighboring their villa, which the wealthy gay couple bought to escape city buzz and fuzz. Freimuth furiously opposed the precisely recorded barbecues held there, installing video cameras and countering with loud vuvuzela noise. The team question all pro-grilling villagers, including mayoress Veronika Vogler and bio butcher Josef Birnbacher, who hosted the latest mass barbecue. Hairdresser Anneliese Schulz has a strange rapport to him, while mayoral son Max Vogler always defended the couple, whose brave outspoken liberty he admired.

But the suspect list grows as staff -especially devoted educator Daniel Mehring- and comrades -especially shy A-student Maria- are investigated.

Radio night show presenter Tommy Konath, was often on when she worked.
- Popular, handsome, dating-champion last year high-school student Tom Fach enjoys life, but his corpse is found, boxers-only, in a pigsty, with some letters from a spray paint message on his naked chest. The police detectives find he dated and dumped serially, providing motive for various exes, even his med school-fixated mathematics tutor, and his buddy Flori(an), whose girlfriend seduced Tom too. His room and laptop prove Tom's doting, gullible mother Sabine ignored his drug use and chose to ignore a rock and broom in his window-broken room 'coinciding' with a head wound.

They include girl friend Jenny Krüger, who bore his baby, ex-wife Bettina Euler, colleague Elisa Nitsche and drunk Christoph Schönborn, who owns the fatal car and contradicts himself, hence is locked up as prime suspect. The team looks into various motives and opportunities.

The fresh widow Magdalena Franke and Nicole Müller have only each-other as alibi. Gunther remains in foreign rehab, but forces son in law Hanno to face the proof he spent time in hotel rooms with his secretary, yet claims nothing happened while feeling morally unfaithful.

Also two young male robber acquaintances of Tilda, and her connected martial arts coach. Finally Nora's employer, adhesives factory owner Olaf Möhrs. Then a DNA result requires reconsidering.

Her enemies include main rival Sarah Grube, Romys ex-boyfriend Dennis Lange, with him she bickered over her trendy shape-shift away from his slim "zero' ideal, and agent Gregor Mendel, who was filmed sexually abusing models. - Contracting firm partner Luisa Meierhofer is found by husband Konrad, apparently murdered by a robber, head-wounded by fatally strangled. Fibers in her lungs seem to fit construction sites. Konrad's mistress Marie Pawlik tried to buy out Luisa, yet he denies promising to leave Marie for her. Competing contractor Felix Schnell suggests they underbid him by using substandard materials and so on. The local robbers gang is caught, but chief Markus Maler denies robbing the Meyerhofer, let alone murdering her.
- The bones of animal protection activist Marvin Sommer are found in the forest. His campaign for the wolf, who recently returned to Bavaria, made him enemies. District game keeper Elmar Dannenberg wants none is his Revier, bio-farmer Pirmin Leibinger fears kills among his flock will ruin his already struggling business. Even fellow nature defender Finn Mauritz fell out with Marvin, whose young wife and supporter Luisa, suspected him of adultery with biologist Dr. Paula Brandt. But the team stumbles onto surprisingly dark family secrets.
