- A family is on summer vacation. Their adolescent son is a mixture of bored and horny. A yellow jacket wasp joins them in their car and then at their vacation campsite. A sultry young woman is doing laundry outdoors just as a brief, torrential downpour occurs and the wasp allows her to reveal, much to the young man's delight, her special knowledge of how to deal with insect bites.
- A very engaging short documentary of how a native Indian from Quebec works building skyscrapers in New York City, with breathtaking shots of walking on narrow beams 25 stories in the air, as well as a chilling recounting of the death of numerous Indian iron workers building a bridge in Quebec in the early part of the century.
- A father in Ireland goes to watch a football match with his buddy while his daughter has to study Irish, or Gaelic - the ancient language of Ireland. After over-celebrating his club's victory, he awakes in the morning and finds he only speaks Irish, and that he doesn't even understand English. His buddy is aghast at this situation, believing his friend to have become possessed, but his daughter manages to translate his friend's assertion that this change may have been caused by a blow to the head during the revelries of the past evening's celebrations. They decide to hit him again, and use a frying pan for the job. Disastrous results ensue.

- A teenage boy rides out of town to meet a a girl in the countryside. She is deaf, and he explains the different means he uses to get her attention when she has not seen him. Then they say goodbye, with one poignant hug and a desperate yell punctuating their final farewell.
- A relatively-small hospital experiences a veritable gridlock in one narrow hallway with beds, patients, doctors, and nurses all finding their movements unduly restricted. This necessitates an extreme measure imposed by one creative doctor in order to free the flow of traffic, much to the chagrin of one patient, whose bell can no longer be heard by those responsible for his care.
- Adam is a young man who works as a copying clerk. One day, he takes delivery of a very special copying machine. It seems to promise an end to all his problems, but in fact leads him into a very complex situation when he comes to face to face with himself in a very unusual way.

- A scientific researcher works harder than her colleagues, and is rewarded by a successful result from one of her late-night endeavors. She successfully clones herself into another scientist. At first, everything seems to go well, as her creation is passed off on her colleagues as the genuine article. However, when the new arrival begins to exhibit signs of memories which were not implanted and a marked degree of social adroitness that her creator so obviously lacks, the original begins to question the need for the replica.
- Eva is a teenage girl on the Prairies. She finds her parents irrevocably remote from her and has suicidal tendencies. She wishes the earth would open up and swallow her. Left behind at a gas station, she becomes the unwitting participant in a robbery by another youth, with whom she forms a strange kind of bond. Arrested while helping him flee, she wonders at her situation in life.
- A man in his mid-40s is killed by a truck just after receiving a prescription against death from his doctor. He then regains consciousness in a video store, and with some further difficulties, receives a film of his life. Although full of factual inaccuracies, it is an enjoyable examination of his birth, youth, marriage, family and death. Unfortunately, his request for a sequel is denied, and as he advances down the corridor to God, technical difficulties are experienced.
- Two mosquitoes go after a man who is on the run after his resort development was overcome by rising ocean levels. While being attacked by the man and his bug spray one of the mosquitoes goes where none of his species has gone before in order to save his fellow insect.
- A woman places an ad for a Jaguar for 35,000 Euros. She then plants a fake bomb on a building. She waits for, and receives a call for the car, for which she demands cash only. She then phones in the bomb threat, and when the owner of the house arrives, steals his car. After pausing to take some digital photos of herself with the stolen vehicle, she then proceeds to transfer it to the buyer for cash. The next morning, there is a story in the paper about a fatal crash involving a stolen car. The film is based on a true story.
- A Wordless and virtually soundless but nonetheless exquisitely sensitive drama about an overweight butcher who lives alone and the strange fascination he develops for an attractive young woman he sees on his regular bus route. He takes tentative steps to approach her but though he receives an open, caring smile, fails to respond.
- Two middle-aged men are having a picnic in an open field beside a tree. They barbeque two pieces of chicken while their pet parakeets hang in a cage from the tree. While cooking, they seem to try to outdo each other with stories of potential calamities which could cut short their respective lives. The scenarios become more and more dark and ghasty to behold. Suddenly, they realize that while fantasizing about horrible possibilities, they have let their chicken burn. While trying to douse the flames of their barbeque, it starts to rain very heavily. This despite the fact that it was a sunny day up until then. Rushing to get everything put away, they scramble into their car only to have their trip cut suddenly short by an unexpected stroke of nature.
- A tragicomic look at an evening in the life of the newly elected President of the Norwegian Esperanto Society and his nervous preparations for his first Annual General Meeting in this position. Not only must he cope with a defeated rival for his position, but his girlfriend is being followed by suitors and must keep her relationship with him a secret or risk their disaffection from the Society. Finally, the turnout is disappointingly small, a promised celebrity has sent his regrets and the sole representative from the press is witness to all of the new President's frustrations and emotional traumas.
- Using chart paper and a black marker, a man tries to explain to his lover how their sexual life together, the organization of their refrigerator and her manner of using toilet paper all indicate a overwhelmingly perilous threat to their relationship. She is late for work, and treats his admonitions with derisive scorn and laughter. This makes him more enraged, and she realizes that he is truly hurting inside. When prodded further by her, he confesses what is truly wrong with their relationship. As the credits roll, they perform a light-hearted dance with one another.
- Brenda Robards is a high school math teacher with an excessively developed fetish about cleanliness. It has driven her husband out of her life, and threatens to leave her alone. One of her students, Laura, seems to sympathize with her plight and is probably responsible for the 'Teledate' advertisement left on her windshield one day. Her encounter in a hotel bedroom with a man she meets through this service is painfully frustrating for both of them, as her inability to accept even the slightest hint of dirt or, as she puts it: 'filth', drives them apart. Later, she seems to relent to some degree, and the movie ends on an ambiguously hopeful note.
- A lonely middle-aged woman dines alone in a Chinese restaurant on her birthday. She pays close attention to the other patrons, imagining their relationships and personal situations. She remembers her past lovers and child, and broods on her bitter sense of loss and loneliness. In an unthinking moment, she announces to the waitress that it is her birthday, and the entire social dynamic in the restaurant is altered. An intensely moving, bittersweet and realistic look at emotional loss and disconnection.
